حقق فريق الخلود انتصاراً مهماً على مضيفه نيوم بهدفين لهدف، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد مدينة الملك خالد الرياضية بتبوك، وذلك ضمن لقاءات الجولة 24 لدوري روشن السعودي للمحترفين.
شهد اللقاء بداية قوية لفريق الخلود الذي تمكن من إحراز هدف مبكر بعد مجهود فردي رائع من جون باكلي الذي خطف الكرة من دفاع نيوم ومررها لزميله هتان باهبري ليسددها في الزاوية البعيدة عن الحارس ماكسيميانو كهدف أول للخلود (د: 4)، ولم يتأخر نيوم في الرد بعد أن لعب فارس عابدي كرة عرضية عالية استقبلها ريان ميسي ومن ثم سددها قوية في المرمى كهدف أول وتعادل لنيوم (د: 12)، وقبل نهاية الشوط الأول عاد هتان باهبري للتألق مجدداً وزيارة شباك نيوم بعد أن تلقى تمريرة أرضية داخل منطقة الجزاء ليسيطر هتان على الكرة ويسددها أرضية في المرمى كهدف ثانٍ للخلود (د: 39)، وشهد اللقاء حصول مدافع نيوم خليفة الدوسري على البطاقة الحمراء في اللحظات الأخيرة من عمر اللقاء الذي انتهى لمصلحة الخلود بهدفين لهدف.
وبهذه النتيجة يحقق الخلود الفوز الـ8 ويصل للنقطة 25 وفي المركز الـ13، فيما تلقى نيوم الخسارة الـ10 وتجمد رصيده عند 32 نقطة وفي المركز الـ8.
