كشف النجم الهولندي السابق ويسلي شنايدر أنه تلقى آلاف التهديدات بالقتل من الأرجنتين بعد تعليقاته حول سلوك لاعب بنفيكا جيانلوكا بريستياني، الذي اتهمه نجم ريال مدريد فينيسيوس جونيور بالعنصرية في مباراة بنفيكا وريال مدريد السابقة.
وكان شنايدر قد هاجم بريستياني بسبب سلوكه العنصري المزعوم ضد نجم ريال مدريد فينيسيوس جونيور، حيث قال: «الخوف كان واضحاً في عيني بريستياني، من الواضح أنه يدرك أنه ارتكب خطأً فادحاً، أعتقد أن هناك عواقب ستترتب على ذلك».

4000 تهديد
وأثارت كلماته ردود فعل غاضبة، لا سيما في الأرجنتين، وفي تصريحات نقلتها صحيفة «أبولا» البرتغالية، قال شنايدر مدافعًا عن حقه في حرية التعبير: «إنها قضية مروعة، تلقيت 4000 تهديد بالقتل من الأرجنتين الأسبوع الماضي لمجرد التعبير عن رأيي».
وأضاف لاعب ريال مدريد السابق: «لكل شخص الحق في رأيه. أولئك الذين يهددونني لديهم رأي أيضاً، ولدي رأي أيضاً بناءً على ما أراه».
قرار «يويفا»
يُذكر أن الاتحاد الأوروبي لكرة القدم «يويفا» قرر إيقاف بريستياني بشكل مؤقت، على خلفية الاشتباه في توجيهه إهانة ذات طابع عنصري إلى فينيسيوس جونيور، وذلك في انتظار استكمال التحقيقات الجارية في القضية.

4000 Threats
His words sparked angry reactions, particularly in Argentina. In statements reported by the Portuguese newspaper "A Bola," Sneijder defended his right to freedom of expression, saying: "It's a horrific issue, I received 4000 death threats from Argentina last week just for expressing my opinion."
The former Real Madrid player added: "Everyone has the right to their opinion. Those who threaten me have an opinion too, and I have an opinion based on what I see."
UEFA's Decision
It is worth noting that the UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) decided to temporarily suspend Prestianni, pending the completion of ongoing investigations into the case regarding his alleged racist insult towards Vinicius Junior.
