تُواصل المملكة ترسيخ مكانتها كوجهة عالمية للأحداث الرياضية الكبرى، إذ تنطلق اليوم في مدينة جدة، النسخة السادسة من بطولة كأس السوبر الإسباني 2026، بعدما استضافت المملكة البطولة 5 مرات سابقة منذ عام 2020، في تجارب رياضية ناجحة عززت حضور الكرة الإسبانية على الأراضي السعودية.
ومع إقامة أول نسخة في السعودية عام 2020، تحوّل السوبر الإسباني إلى منصة تجمع نخبة المدارس التدريبية العالمية، إذ شهدت الملاعب السعودية تنافساً فنياً عالي المستوى بين مدربين يمثلون مدارس أوروبية ولاتينية مختلفة، وكانت النسخة الأولى في السعودية عام 2020 (جدة) شاهدة على تتويج زين الدين زيدان -مدرب ريال مدريد- باللقب، ليمنح المدرسة الفرنسية أول ألقابها في السوبر الإسباني على الأراضي السعودية، فيما شهدت نسخة 2022 (الرياض) مواصلة ريال مدريد حضوره القوي في البطولة، إذ تُوّج باللقب بقيادة المدرب الإيطالي كارلو أنشيلوتي، في إنجاز أكّد تفوق المدرسة الإيطالية في إدارة البطولات قصيرة المدى.
أما نسخة 2023 (الرياض)، فقد شهدت تتويج تشافي هيرنانديز مع برشلونة، ليعيد اللقب إلى خزائن برشلونة ويمنح المدرسة الإسبانية حضورها الأول في النسخ السعودية، قبل أن تعود المدرسة الإيطالية للتفوق مجدداً في نسخة 2024 (الرياض)، عندما قاد أنشيلوتي ريال مدريد لتحقيق اللقب للمرة الثانية له في السعودية، ليصبح أكثر المدربين تحقيقاً لكأس السوبر الإسباني في النسخ السعودية حتى الآن.
وفي نسخة 2025 (جدة)، دخلت المدرسة الألمانية سجل الأبطال للمرة الأولى، بعدما قاد هانسي فليك فريق برشلونة للتتويج باللقب، في نسخة عكست التحول الفني والتكتيكي للفريق الكتالوني.
وعلى مستوى الحضور الفني المتكرر، حافظ عدد من المدربين على وجودهم المستمر في البطولة عبر أكثر من نسخة، أبرزهم الأرجنتيني دييغو سيميوني مدرب أتلتيكو مدريد، الذي شارك في عدة نسخ دون أن ينجح في تحقيق اللقب، إلى جانب الإسباني إرنستو فالفيردي مدرب أتلتيك بلباو.
ومع انطلاق النسخة السادسة 2026 في جدة، ستسجل البطولة ظهوراً تدريبياً جديداً لأول مرة في السوبر الإسباني بالسعودية، يتمثل في مشاركة المدرب الإسباني تشابي ألونسو على رأس الجهاز الفني لريال مدريد في مشاركة تُعد الأولى له في البطولة بنسختها السعودية، ليضيف بعداً جديداً للتنافس الفني ويجسد دخول جيل جديد من المدربين إلى المشهد.
وتؤكد استمرارية استضافة المملكة لكأس السوبر الإسباني، بما تحمله من تنوع تدريبي وتعدد في الجنسيات والأعوام، نجاح النموذج السعودي في تنظيم البطولات الكبرى، وتحويلها إلى أحداث رياضية متكاملة تجمع بين الجودة التنظيمية، والحضور الجماهيري، والزخم الإعلامي، في مشهد يعكس التطور المتسارع للرياضة السعودية ومكانتها المتقدمة على الخارطة العالمية.
The Kingdom continues to establish its position as a global destination for major sporting events, as the sixth edition of the Spanish Super Cup 2026 kicks off today in the city of Jeddah. The Kingdom has hosted the tournament five times since 2020, in successful sporting experiences that have enhanced the presence of Spanish football on Saudi soil.
With the first edition held in Saudi Arabia in 2020, the Spanish Super Cup transformed into a platform that brings together the elite of global coaching schools. The Saudi stadiums witnessed high-level technical competition among coaches representing various European and Latin schools. The first edition in Saudi Arabia in 2020 (Jeddah) saw Zinedine Zidane, the coach of Real Madrid, crowned with the title, granting the French school its first trophy in the Spanish Super Cup on Saudi soil. The 2022 edition (Riyadh) continued to showcase Real Madrid's strong presence in the tournament, as they were crowned champions under the guidance of Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, in an achievement that confirmed the superiority of the Italian school in managing short-term tournaments.
The 2023 edition (Riyadh) witnessed Xavi Hernandez leading Barcelona to victory, bringing the title back to Barcelona's trophy cabinet and marking the Spanish school's first presence in the Saudi editions. The Italian school once again excelled in the 2024 edition (Riyadh), when Ancelotti led Real Madrid to claim the title for the second time in Saudi Arabia, making him the most successful coach in terms of winning the Spanish Super Cup in the Saudi editions so far.
In the 2025 edition (Jeddah), the German school entered the champions' record for the first time, as Hansi Flick led Barcelona to win the title, in an edition that reflected the technical and tactical transformation of the Catalan team.
In terms of consistent technical presence, several coaches have maintained their continuous involvement in the tournament across multiple editions, most notably Argentine Diego Simeone, coach of Atletico Madrid, who participated in several editions without succeeding in winning the title, alongside Spaniard Ernesto Valverde, coach of Athletic Bilbao.
With the launch of the sixth edition 2026 in Jeddah, the tournament will witness a new coaching appearance for the first time in the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, represented by Spanish coach Xabi Alonso at the helm of the coaching staff of Real Madrid, marking his first participation in the tournament in its Saudi edition, adding a new dimension to the technical competition and embodying the entry of a new generation of coaches into the scene.
The continued hosting of the Spanish Super Cup by the Kingdom, with its diverse coaching and multiple nationalities over the years, confirms the success of the Saudi model in organizing major tournaments and transforming them into comprehensive sporting events that combine organizational quality, audience presence, and media momentum, in a scene that reflects the rapid development of Saudi sports and its advanced position on the global map.
