وقال سلامة، في تصريح خاص لـ«عكاظ»، إن حماسه للمشاركة في الفيلم جاء بسبب اختلاف الفكرة وقوة السيناريو، الذي يناقش علاقة بين أسرتين من زوايا اجتماعية متعددة، ويعتمد على مفارقات إنسانية تُقدَّم في إطار كوميدي اجتماعي خفيف.

وحسم شريف سلامة الجدل المثار حول شائعات ارتباطه بالفنانة نيللي كريم، نافياً الأمر بشكل قاطع، ومؤكداً أن ما يتردد لا يتجاوز كونه شائعات. وأضاف مازحاً: «الناس صدّقت من برومو فيلم جوازة ولا جنازة إننا اتجوزنا بجد»، مشيراً إلى أن نيللي كريم صديقة مقربة، وجمعتهما أعمال ناجحة على مدار السنوات الماضية.

وعما تردد بشأن وقف أو تأجيل تصوير مسلسله الرمضاني الجديد «على قد الحب»، أوضح سلامة أن هذه الأنباء غير صحيحة، مؤكداً أن التصوير مستمر بشكل طبيعي دون أي توقف.
