أشاد الشيخ سلمان بن إبراهيم آل خليفة رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم بتنظيم دولة قطر لبطولة كأس العرب، والذي تم وفق أعلى معايير الجودة العالمية، مؤكداً أن التنظيم المتميز، والبنية التحتية الحديثة، والالتزام بأعلى المعايير الفنية والتنظيمية، أسهمت في إخراج البطولة بصورة مشرّفة تعزز مكانة دولة قطر كوجهة مثالية لتنظيم أهم الأحداث الرياضية الدولية.
وأكد الشيخ سلمان والذي يشغل أيضاً منصب النائب الأول لرئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم في تصريح صحفي له مساء أمس، أن نجاح البطولة يعكس الشراكة والتعاون بين الاتحاد الدولي والاتحادات القارية والوطنية، لافتاً إلى أهمية البطولات الإقليمية في تعزيز التنافس الرياضي، وصقل المواهب، وترسيخ قيم الروح الرياضية والاحترام المتبادل بين المنتخبات.
وهنأ الشيخ سلمان بن إبراهيم آل خليفة المنتخب المغربي المتوج باللقب بعد فوزه في النهائي على نظيره الأردني 3 ـ 2.. مؤكداً أن الإنجاز الباهر للمنتخب المغربي يتوج المستويات الفنية الكبيرة للمنتخب على امتداد مباريات البطولة، كما أنه يعكس المكانة المرموقة التي تحتلها كرة القدم المغربية على الساحة الدولية، بفضل العمل المنهجي والاستثمار المستمر في تطوير المنتخبات الوطنية.
كما هنأ رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي المنتخب الأردني الحاصل على المركز الثاني في البطولة، معتبراً أن الأداء القوي والمستقر الذي قدمه المنتخب طوال المنافسات يجسد التطور الملحوظ لكرة القدم الأردنية، ويعكس طموحاتها المتزايدة على الساحة الإقليمية والدولية.
Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the President of the Asian Football Confederation, praised the State of Qatar for organizing the Arab Cup, which was conducted according to the highest global quality standards. He emphasized that the distinguished organization, modern infrastructure, and commitment to the highest technical and organizational standards contributed to presenting the tournament in an honorable manner that enhances Qatar's position as an ideal destination for hosting major international sporting events.
Sheikh Salman, who also serves as the First Vice President of FIFA, stated in a press statement last night that the success of the tournament reflects the partnership and cooperation between FIFA and the continental and national federations. He pointed out the importance of regional tournaments in enhancing sports competition, honing talents, and instilling values of sportsmanship and mutual respect among the teams.
He congratulated the Moroccan national team, which won the title after defeating their Jordanian counterparts 3-2 in the final. He affirmed that the remarkable achievement of the Moroccan team crowns the high technical levels displayed throughout the tournament, and it reflects the prestigious status of Moroccan football on the international stage, thanks to systematic work and continuous investment in developing national teams.
Additionally, the President of the Asian Football Confederation congratulated the Jordanian national team, which secured second place in the tournament, considering that the strong and consistent performance exhibited by the team throughout the competitions embodies the noticeable development of Jordanian football and reflects its increasing ambitions on the regional and international stage.
