أكدت إدارة الإعلام والاتصال المؤسسي بالاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، أن مدرب المنتخب السعودي الأول «ريناد»، مستمر في منصبه حتى نهاية عقده الحالي والذي ينتهي في نهاية عام 2027، وأوضحت إدارة الإعلام أن «ريناد» حالياً متواجد في الدوحة وعلى رأس الفريق الفني وقاد تدريب الأخضر الأخير قبل مواجهة منتخب الإمارات، في المباراة التي ستقام مساء غدٍ الخميس على استاد خليفة الدولي، لتحديد المركز الثالث ضمن كأس العرب، وبينت إدارة الإعلام والاتصال المؤسسي بالاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم أن «الأخضر» سيستغل فترة التوقف القادمة في أيام الفيفا في لعب مباريات ودية دولية استعداداً لكأس العالم قبل المعسكر النهائي والذي لن يتجاوز 12 يوماً بسبب ارتباط اللاعبين بأنديتهم، موضحاً أن نظام «الفيفا» لا يسمح بدخول المنتخبات إلا قبل انطلاقة البطولة بـ 6 أيام، وهذا ما سيجعل المعسكر الأخير بهذه المدة القصيرة.
