رفع المنتخب السعودي الأولمبي رصيده إلى خمسة ألقاب في تاريخ بطولة كأس الخليج تحت 23 عاماً، بعد أن حققها أعوام 2008، 2012، 2014، 2016، و2025، مقابل لقب واحد لكل من منتخبات الإمارات وعمان والبحرين، ليؤكد حضوره المشرف ويفرض سيطرته التاريخية على البطولة الخليجية، ويثبت أنه الأكثر تتويجاً باللقب.
وكان «الأخضر الأولمبي» حقق كأس الخليج تحت 23 عاماً عقب انتصاره على نظيره العراقي بهدفين دون مقابل، في المباراة الختامية التي أُقيمت على ملعب 974 في العاصمة القطرية الدوحة، وسجل هدفي منتخبنا الوطني: عبدالرحمن العبيد، وعبدالعزيز العليوة، وحصد نجما الأخضر حامد الشنقيطي أحسن حارس، وعبدالعزيز العليوة أفضل لاعب، في البطولة الخليجية تحت 23 عاما.
وكان المنتخب السعودي بدأ مشواره في البطولة الخليجية بالانتصار على منتخب البحرين بخماسية نظيفة، وفاز على منتخب الكويت بهدف مقابل لا شيء، وتعادل مع منتخب قطر إيجابيا 1/1، وتصدر المجموعة الأولى بـ7 نقاط، وكسب المنتخب الإماراتي في دور نصف النهائي بهدفين مقابل لا شيء، وحصد كأس الخليج عقب الفوز على منتخب العراق في المباراة النهائية بهدفين مقابل لا شيء.

The "Green Olympic" team won the Gulf Cup U-23 after defeating their Iraqi counterpart with two goals to none, in the final match held at Stadium 974 in the Qatari capital, Doha. Our national team’s goals were scored by Abdulrahman Al-Obaid and Abdulaziz Al-Aliwah. The stars of the Green team, Hamid Al-Shanqeeti, was named Best Goalkeeper, and Abdulaziz Al-Aliwah was named Best Player in the Gulf Cup U-23 Championship.
The Saudi team began its journey in the Gulf Championship with a victory over the Bahrain team with a score of five to nothing, won against the Kuwait team with one goal to none, and drew with the Qatar team positively 1/1. They topped Group A with 7 points, defeated the UAE team in the semifinals with two goals to none, and secured the Gulf Cup after winning against the Iraq team in the final match with two goals to none.
