في بادرة غير مستغربة من أبناء المملكة العربية السعودية، كرّم رئيس اللجنة المنظمة العليا لدورة ألعاب التضامن الإسلامي «الرياض 2025» الأمير فهد بن جلوي بن عبدالعزيز بن مساعد، نيابةً عن وزير الرياضة رئيس اللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل، اللجان العاملة والمنجزين في دورة ألعاب التضامن الإسلامي الأولى التي استضافتها المملكة عام 2005، إذ يُعد الحفل الذي حضره الأمير نواف بن فيصل بن فهد بن عبدالعزيز، الرئيس العام لرعاية الشباب سابقاً (2011 – 2014) نائب رئيس اللجنة المنظمة لدورة ألعاب التضامن الأولى 2005، إلى جانب عددٍ من الأمراء ومنسوبي وزارة الرياضة واللجنة الأولمبية والبارالمبية السعودية، حلقة وصلٍ بين جيلٍ أسّس للنجاح وجيلٍ يواصل المسيرة نحو مستقبلٍ رياضيٍ مشرق، ضمن رؤية المملكة 2030 التي تُعنى بتعزيز مكانة المملكة على خارطة الرياضة العالمية من خلال استضافة أكبر الفعاليات الرياضية الإقليمية والدولية.
ويأتي هذا التكريم تقديراً لجهود الكفاءات الوطنية التي ساهمت في إنجاح أولى نسخ دورة ألعاب التضامن الإسلامي، وما قدمته من عملٍ نوعي أسّس لمسيرةٍ من الاستضافات الرياضية الكبرى التي تشهدها المملكة اليوم، ويجسّد ما وصلت إليه منظومة الرياضة السعودية من تطورٍ وتميز في التنظيم والإدارة والإنجاز. ونال الحفل إشادات كبيرة من الحضور بعد التنظيم المميز وفقرات التكريم التي أنصفت كل من ساهم في رفع علم المملكة في المحافل الرياضية بشكل عام والبطولة الإسلامية الأولى على وجه الخصوص.
In a gesture not surprising from the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Islamic Solidarity Games "Riyadh 2025," Prince Fahd bin Jiluwi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, honored the working committees and achievers of the first Islamic Solidarity Games hosted by the Kingdom in 2005, on behalf of the Minister of Sports and Chairman of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Faisal. The ceremony, attended by Prince Nawaf bin Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, the former President of Youth Welfare (2011 – 2014) and Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the first Islamic Solidarity Games 2005, along with several princes and officials from the Ministry of Sports and the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, serves as a bridge between a generation that laid the foundation for success and a generation that continues the journey towards a bright sporting future, within the framework of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which aims to enhance the Kingdom's position on the global sports map by hosting the largest regional and international sporting events.
This recognition comes in appreciation of the efforts of national talents that contributed to the success of the first edition of the Islamic Solidarity Games, and the qualitative work they provided that laid the groundwork for a series of major sporting events that the Kingdom is witnessing today. It embodies the development and excellence that the Saudi sports system has achieved in organization, management, and accomplishment. The ceremony received great praise from the attendees for its distinguished organization and the honoring segments that acknowledged everyone who contributed to raising the Kingdom's flag in sporting arenas in general and the first Islamic championship in particular.
