تنطلق غدا السبت نهائيات رابطة محترفات التنس، التي تستضيفها المملكة العربية السعودية للمرة الثانية، وتستمر منافساتها حتى 8 نوفمبر 2025، وذلك في الصالة الداخلية بجامعة الملك سعود، بتنظيم من الاتحاد السعودي للتنس، وإشراف من وزارة الرياضة، وبرعاية صندوق الاستثمارات العامة.
وتشهد البطولة التي تحتضن المملكة فعالياتها، بشراكةٍ تمتد لثلاثةِ أعوام بين رابطة محترفات التنس والاتحاد السعودي للتنس، مشاركة أفضل لاعبات التنس، للمنافسة بنظام الدوري في فئتي الفردي والزوجي، وبجوائز تزيد قيمتها على 15 مليون دولارٍ أمريكي.
وينتظر أن تشهد «فئة الفردي» مواجهات مرتقبة؛ تبدأ بمواجهتين في مجموعة «سيرينا ويليامز» بلقاء البولندية إيغا شفيونتيك -المصنفة الثانية عالميًا- مع الأمريكية ماديسون كيز عند السادسة مساءً، تليها مباراة ثانية في مجموعة «ستيفاني غراف» تجمع الأمريكية أماندا أنيسيموفا ضد الكازاخستانية إيلينا ريباكينا.
وبالنظر إلى منافسات «فئة الزوجي»، فستواجه كل من (الإيطاليتين سارة إيراني وجاسمين باوليني) نظيرتيهما (الأمريكية آسيا محمد والهولندية ديمي شورس)، على أن تلعب كل من (البجليكية إليز ميرتينز والروسية فيرونيكا كوديرميتوفا) ضد (التايوانية هسيه سي- وي وييلينا أوستابينكو) ضمن منافسات مجموعة «مارتينا نافراتيلوفا».
يذكر أن هذه البطولة تعدّ استكمالًا لمسيرة الفعاليات التي تحتضنها المملكة، بدعم واهتمام من القيادة الرشيدة، لتعكس مكانتها كوجهة رائدة للرياضة والرياضيين، والإسهام في تنمية القطاع الرياضي وتوسيع قاعدة الممارسين لمختلف الرياضات، بما فيها التنس، إضافة إلى دعم الأهداف الاقتصادية والاجتماعية المتماشية مع مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 في ترسيخ حضور المملكة على ساحة الرياضة العالمية.
The finals of the Women's Tennis Association will kick off tomorrow, Saturday, hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the second time, and will continue until November 8, 2025, at the indoor hall of King Saud University, organized by the Saudi Tennis Federation, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sports, and sponsored by the Public Investment Fund.
The tournament, which the Kingdom is hosting, is part of a three-year partnership between the Women's Tennis Association and the Saudi Tennis Federation, featuring the participation of the best female tennis players competing in a league format in both singles and doubles categories, with prizes exceeding 15 million US dollars.
The "singles" category is expected to witness anticipated matches; starting with two matches in the "Serena Williams" group, where Polish player Iga Swiatek - ranked second in the world - will face American Madison Keys at 6 PM, followed by a second match in the "Steffi Graf" group, bringing together American Amanda Anisimova against Kazakh Elena Rybakina.
In the "doubles" category, the Italian duo Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini will face their counterparts, American Asia Muhammad and Dutch Demi Schuurs, while Belgian Elise Mertens and Russian Veronika Kudermetova will compete against Taiwanese Hsieh Su-Wei and Latvian Jelena Ostapenko in the "Martina Navratilova" group.
It is worth noting that this tournament is a continuation of the series of events hosted by the Kingdom, supported and cared for by the wise leadership, reflecting its status as a leading destination for sports and athletes, contributing to the development of the sports sector and expanding the base of practitioners in various sports, including tennis, in addition to supporting economic and social goals aligned with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to establish the Kingdom's presence on the global sports stage.
