تُوج فريق جامعة الملك خالد ببطولة التايكوندو للطلاب التي نظمها الاتحاد الرياضي للجامعات السعودية في موسمه الـ16 لبطولاته واستضافتها جامعة تبوك خلال الفترة من 15-18 أكتوبر الجاري، بمشاركة 123 لاعباً مثلوا 20 جامعة وكلية.
وحقق طلاب جامعة الملك خالد المركز الأول في الترتيب العام، وبالمركز الثاني جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز، وثالثاً جامعة الملك سعود، حيث توج الفائزين بالكؤوس والميداليات الذهبية والفضية والبرونزية وكيل جامعة تبوك للشؤون التعليمية الدكتور ماجد بن صلاح بلعلا، وممثّل الاتحاد الرياضي للجامعات السعودية علي المنيع، وذلك في الحفل الختامي الذي تخلله تكريم الجامعات وحكام البطولة.
وحققت جامعة الأميرة نورة بنت عبدالرحمن لقب بطولة الاتحاد لألعاب القوى للطالبات، التي أقيمت خلال الفترة نفسها، واستضافتها جامعة الطائف، بمشاركة 285 طالبة مثلن 24 جامعة وكلية.
وتوجت مدير البطولة الدكتورة نوف الحماد خلال الحفل الختامي الجامعات الفائزة بالمراكز الثلاثة الأولى بالكؤوس والميداليات الذهبية والفضية والبرونزيّة، إضافةً إلى تكريم الحكام والجامعات، حيث جاءت جامعة الإمام عبدالرحمن بن فيصل بالمركز الثاني، وثالثاً جامعة الملك عبدالعزيز.

The King Khalid University team was crowned the champion of the Taekwondo tournament for students organized by the Saudi Universities Sports Federation in its 16th season of championships, hosted by Tabuk University from October 15-18, with the participation of 123 players representing 20 universities and colleges.
The students of King Khalid University achieved first place in the overall ranking, with King Abdulaziz University in second place, and King Saud University in third place. The winners were awarded trophies and gold, silver, and bronze medals by the Vice President of Tabuk University for Educational Affairs, Dr. Majid bin Salah Balala, and the representative of the Saudi Universities Sports Federation, Ali Al-Munai. This took place during the closing ceremony, which included honoring the universities and the referees of the tournament.
Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University won the title of the Federation Championship for Women's Athletics, which was held during the same period and hosted by Taif University, with the participation of 285 female students representing 24 universities and colleges.
During the closing ceremony, the tournament director, Dr. Nawaf Al-Hammad, awarded the universities that won the top three places with trophies and gold, silver, and bronze medals, in addition to honoring the referees and universities, with Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University coming in second place and King Abdulaziz University in third place.
