أكد النجم الدولي السابق الكابتن سعيد العويران، صاحب أشهر الأهداف في كأس العالم، أن المنتخب السعودي قادر على تحقيق الفوز أمام المنتخب العراقي وحصد النقاط الثلاث والتأهل لكأس العالم 2026 في (الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، والمكسيك، وكندا)، مبيناً أنه سيكون أول الحاضرين لمساندة «الأخضر» ودعم اللاعبين، وعلى الجميع أن يكونوا على قلب رجل واحد من أجل تحقيق الانتصار والوصول للمونديال القادم، مشيداً بالدعم اللامحدود من قبل القيادة الحكيمة وحرصها على تقديم الحوافز المالية المناسبة للمنتخب الوطني من أجل الوصول لكأس العالم للمرة السابعة في تاريخ الكرة السعودية.
الفوز ولا غيره أمام العراق
وطالب العويران لاعبي الأخضر بغض النظر عن الحسابات المتعلقة بمباراة العراق واللعب بفرصتين، والعمل على تحقيق الفوز والنقاط الثلاث في المباراة الختامية في «الملحق الآسيوي» المؤهل لكأس العالم القادمة.

وأوضح العويران أن منتخبنا الوطني يملك الإمكانيات الفنية الكبيرة، وكان قادراً على الفوز أمام المنتخب الإندونيسي بنتيجة أفضل من 2/3، وبعدد وافر من الأهداف، وعدم حصول اللاعب محمد كنو وأحد أعضاء الجهاز الفني على بطاقتين حمراوين، وحسم التأهل بالفوز على إندونيسيا بنتيجة 1/4، أو 1/5، وتبقى ثقتنا كبيرة في نجوم الأخضر بالانتصار على العراق والظفر بنقاط المباراة والتأهل لكأس العالم القادمة.
