تنطلق يوم غد (السبت)، منافسات بطولة كأس الخليج للناشئين تحت 17 عاما في العاصمة القطرية الدوحة، بلقاءين، إذ يلتقي في المباراة الافتتاحية منتخبا العراق والكويت، وتليها مواجهة منتخبنا الوطني السعودي أمام نظيره البحريني.
وتشهد البطولة مشاركة ثمانية منتخبات قُسّمت إلى مجموعتين، إذ تضم المجموعة الأولى منتخبات: قطر (المستضيف)، الإمارات، عُمان واليمن، فيما تضم المجموعة الثانية كلا من: العراق، الكويت، السعودية والبحرين.
وتُفتتح البطولة بمباراة تجمع المنتخبين العراقي والكويتي عند السادسة مساء على استاد حمد الكبير بالنادي العربي، ضمن منافسات المجموعة الثانية، في مواجهة يطمح خلالها الفريقان إلى بداية قوية وحصد النقاط الثلاث.
وتليها في تمام الثامنة مساء مباراة ثانية بين منتخبي السعودية والبحرين على استاد سحيم بن حمد بنادي قطر، في لقاء يتوقع أن يكون حافلا بالإثارة والتنافسية نظرا لرغبة كلا الطرفين في تحقيق الفوز.
وتتواصل المنافسات يوم الأحد 21 سبتمبر بإقامة مباراتين ضمن المجموعة الأولى، إذ يلتقي منتخب قطر صاحب الضيافة مع نظيره اليمني على استاد حمد الكبير عند السادسة مساء، تليها مواجهة الإمارات وعُمان على استاد سحيم بن حمد عند الثامنة مساء.
ومن المنتظر أن تُظهر مباريات الجولة الأولى ملامح المنافسة المبكرة، وتُعطي مؤشرا لمسار البطولة، في وقت يسعى فيه المدربون إلى اختبار أساليب لعبهم وحصد النقاط التي تُعزز حظوظهم في بلوغ الأدوار المتقدمة.

The Gulf Cup for Under-17s kicks off tomorrow (Saturday) in the Qatari capital, Doha, with two matches. The opening match will see Iraq face Kuwait, followed by our national team, Saudi Arabia, going up against Bahrain.
The tournament features eight teams divided into two groups. Group A includes: Qatar (the host), the UAE, Oman, and Yemen, while Group B consists of Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
The tournament will open with a match between the Iraqi and Kuwaiti teams at 6 PM at Hamad Al-Kabeer Stadium in Al-Arabi Club, as part of Group B, where both teams aspire to start strong and secure three points.
This will be followed at 8 PM by a second match between the Saudi and Bahraini teams at Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar, in a match expected to be full of excitement and competitiveness due to both sides' desire to win.
The competitions will continue on Sunday, September 21, with two matches in Group A, where the host team Qatar will meet Yemen at Hamad Al-Kabeer Stadium at 6 PM, followed by a match between the UAE and Oman at Suhaim bin Hamad Stadium at 8 PM.
