قلب ممثل الوطن (الهلال) تأخره بهدف لفوز بهدفين على ضيفه الدحيل القطري، في اللقاء الذي جمع بينهما على استاد «المملكة أرينا» في الرياض، ضمن لقاءات الجولة الأولى من منافسات منطقة الغرب في دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة 2025-2026.
تقدم الدحيل عبر هدف عادل بولبينة (د:37)، قبل أن يرد الهلال بهدفين خلال الشوط الثاني عن طريق داروين نونيز (د:57)، وثيو هيرنانديز (د:67).
شهد اللقاء سيطرة هلالية على وسط الميدان والبحث عن التوغل عبر الأطراف خصوصاً من الجهة اليمنى، في حين اعتمد الدحيل القطري على التحولات السريعة في محاولة لمباغتة الدفاع الهلالي، وتمكن من ذلك بعد هجمة مرتدة سريعة أرسل من خلالها يوسف سابالي كرة بينية طويلة خلف المدافعين وصلت أمام عادل بولبينة الذي انفرد بالمرمى، قبل أن يراوغ الحارس ياسين بونو ويضع الكرة داخل الشباك مُحرزاً هدف التقدم للدحيل (د:37)، وخلال الوقت المحتسب بدل الضائع من زمن الشوط الأول ألغى حكم اللقاء هدفاً للهلال أحرزه المدافع التركي يوسف أكتشيشيك، بعد الرجوع لتقنية حكم الفيديو المساعد التي أظهرت وجود لمسة يد قبل ذلك على ماركوس ليوناردو (د:45+4)، لتنتهي مجريات هذا الشوط بتقدم الفريق القطري بهدف دون مقابل.
ومع بداية الشوط الثاني زجّ مدرب الهلال سيموني إنزاغي بالمهاجم الأروغوياني داروين نونيز بدلاً من المدافع حسان تمبكتي في محاولة لتعديل النتيجة.
وأثمر تبديل المدرب الإيطالي عن نجاح الهلال في تسجيل هدف التعادل بعد هجمة مُنسقة، إذ مرر حمد اليامي كرة عرضية داخل الصندوق أمام البديل نونيز ليسكنها بدوره من اللمسة الأولى بقدمه اليسرى على يمين الحارس في المرمى (د:57)، وواصل الهلال سيطرته على المباراة وتمكن من تسجيل الهدف الثاني بتسديدة قوية من على خط الـ18 من الفرنسي ثيو هيرنانديز لترتطم في مدافع الدحيل إبراهيم بامبا وتخادع الحارس وتستقر داخل الشباك (د:67)، لينتهي اللقاء بفوز الهلال بهدفين لهدف.

The representative of the nation (Al-Hilal) turned around a goal deficit to win 2-1 against their Qatari guest Al-Duhail, in a match that took place at the "Kingdom Arena" in Riyadh, as part of the first round of the Western Zone competitions in the 2025-2026 AFC Champions League.
Al-Duhail took the lead with a goal from Adel Boulbina (37'), before Al-Hilal responded with two goals in the second half from Darwin Nunez (57') and Theo Hernandez (67').
The match witnessed Al-Hilal's dominance in midfield and their search for breakthroughs through the flanks, especially from the right side, while Al-Duhail relied on quick transitions in an attempt to surprise the Al-Hilal defense. They managed to do so after a rapid counterattack, during which Youssef Sabaly sent a long through ball behind the defenders to Adel Boulbina, who broke free towards the goal, before feinting the goalkeeper Yassine Bono and placing the ball into the net, scoring the opening goal for Al-Duhail (37'). During the stoppage time of the first half, the referee disallowed a goal for Al-Hilal scored by the Turkish defender Youssef Akcicek, after reviewing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) which showed a handball by Marcos Leonardo prior to that (45+4'), ending this half with the Qatari team leading by one goal to none.
At the start of the second half, Al-Hilal's coach Simone Inzaghi brought in Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez in place of defender Hassan Tambakti in an attempt to equalize the score.
The Italian coach's substitution paid off as Al-Hilal succeeded in scoring the equalizer after a coordinated attack, with Hamad Al-Yami delivering a cross into the box in front of the substitute Nunez, who found the net with his left foot on the first touch to the right of the goalkeeper (57'). Al-Hilal continued to dominate the match and managed to score the second goal with a powerful shot from the edge of the 18-yard box by Frenchman Theo Hernandez, which deflected off Al-Duhail defender Ibrahim Bamba, deceiving the goalkeeper and settling into the net (67'), ending the match with Al-Hilal winning by two goals to one.
