The Professionalism and Player Conditions Committee of the Saudi Football Federation has issued the updated regulations for the new sports season 2025-2026.
The Board of Directors of the Saudi Football Federation approved the amendments to the regulations on professionalism, player conditions, and transfers.
The legal attorney specializing in sports disputes, Ahmad Al-Sheikhi, clarified through his account on the platform "X" that the decisions focused on the cancellation of the article that was relied upon by the legal department at Al-Nassr Club, based on which they filed a protest against the participation of goalkeeper Raef Al-Ruwaili with his club Al-Urouba.
The new amendments also included a step concerning the modification of the article that led to the suspension of Captain Mohammed Kanno and the prohibition of Al-Hilal from registering players. It has now become the responsibility of the affected club to prove incitement, and the reversed burden of proof is no longer applicable, a change that was approved by FIFA this year, following the famous Diarra case.
