تمكّن «نصاب» من استغلال اسم النجم البرتغالي الراحل ديوغو جوتا، مهاجم ليفربول الراحل، وجمع مبلغاً كبيراً من المال عبر جمع التبرعات.
وتوفي ديوغو جوتا رفقة شقيقه أندريه سيلفا خلال حادثة سير بإسبانيا في 3 يوليو الماضي، وخلفت وفاته حزناً كبيراً في أوساط كرة القدم الدولية.
وتمكنت صفحةٌ تُدعى «مؤسسة ديوغو جوتا» (diogojotafoundation)، أُنشئت بعد 3 أيام من وفاة اللاعب البرتغالي الدولي المأساوية، من جمع نحو 54 ألف يورو.
وتضم الصفحة على شبكة الإنترنت شعاراتٍ لكلٍّ من ليفربول، واليونيسف، وأليانز، والمنصة البرتغالية للمنظمات غير الحكومية من أجل التنمية، التي يُفترض أنها تدعم هذه القضية.
إلا أن صحيفة التلغراف الإنجليزية تواصلت مع 3 من هذه المنظمات، وأكدت جميعها عدم معرفتها بهذه القضية أو صلتها بها.
والأمر نفسه بالنسبة لعائلة ديوغو جوتا، التي تُصرّ على عدم وجود أي صلة لها بالصفحة والقضية.
A "scammer" managed to exploit the name of the late Portuguese star Diogo Jota, the former Liverpool striker, and raised a large sum of money through donations.
Diogo Jota passed away along with his brother André Silva in a car accident in Spain on July 3rd, leaving a great sadness in the international football community.
A page called the "Diogo Jota Foundation" (diogojotafoundation), created three days after the tragic death of the international Portuguese player, managed to collect around 54,000 euros.
The page on the internet features logos from Liverpool, UNICEF, Allianz, and the Portuguese platform for non-governmental organizations for development, which are supposed to support this cause.
However, the English newspaper The Telegraph contacted three of these organizations, and all confirmed that they were unaware of this issue or any connection to it.
The same applies to Diogo Jota's family, who insist that they have no connection to the page or the issue.
