أعلن نادي توتنهام هوتسبير الإنجليزي رسمياً عن تجديد عقد لاعبه دجيد سبينس لمدة طويلة لم يتم الإعلان عنها وذلك عبر موقعه الرسمي في الشبكة العنكبوتية.
وأكد النادي الإنجليزي بأن اللاعب سبينس يعد من الركائز الأساسية في الفريق، وساهم في تحقيق كأس لقب الدوري الأوروبي. وكان سبينس قد انضم إلى توتنهام في صيف عام 2022 بعدما قدّم مستويات جيدة في الموسم الذي لعبه على سبيل الإعارة مع نوتنغهام فورست في دوري الدرجة الأولى، حيث ترك بصمة كبيرة على الفريق وقاده للتأهل إلى الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز عبر ملحق الصعود.
وبدأ النادي الإنجليزي بيانه كالتالي: «يسعدنا أن نعلن أن دجيد سبينس قد وقع عقدًا جديدًا طويل الأمد مع النادي، منذ انضمامه إلينا قادمًا من ميدلسبره في يوليو 2022، خاض 42 مباراة معنا حتى الآن، وسجل هدفين».
وتطرق البيان لمسيرة اللاعب حيث قال: «وقد ظهر لأول مرة في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز في فوزنا 5-0 على ساوثهامبتون في ديسمبر 2024، وأبهر الجميع خلال فصل الشتاء قبل أن يسجل أول أهدافه في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز في فبراير عندما فزنا 4-1 على إيبسويتش تاون. وفي وقت لاحق من ذلك الشهر، تم ترشيحه لجائزة أفضل لاعب في الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز للمرة الأولى».
واختتم بيان النادي الإنجليزي عن مسيرة اللاعب حيث قال: «شارك اللاعب البالغ من العمر 25 عامًا في نجاحنا في الدوري الأوروبي الموسم الماضي، وقضى فترة على سبيل الإعارة مع ستاد رينيه ولييدز يونايتد وجنوة، مثل دجيد منتخب إنجلترا حتى مستوى تحت 21 عامًا حتى الآن».
