شهدت مدينة «ليميرا» البرازيلية واقعة مأساوية أودت بحياة شابة تبلغ من العمر 21 عاماً، إثر سقوطها من جسر يرتفع 40 متراً خلال محاولتها خوض تجربة القفز بالحبال (البانجي)، بسبب إهمال كارثي من مشرفي اللعبة الذين نسوا ربط حبل الأمان الخاص بها قبل دفعها.
وكانت الضحية قد توجهت برفقة خطيبها إلى المرتفعات لخوض هذه المغامرة، إلا أن التجربة تحولت إلى فاجعة عندما قام العمال بإلقائها دون التأكد من تدابير السلامة، ما أدى إلى سقوطها الحاد ووفاتها على الفور.
صدمة الخطيب وتحقيقات الشرطة
وعلى خلفية الحادثة، تعرض خطيب الشابة -الذي شهد اللحظات الأخيرة لوفاتها أمام عينيه- لانهيار عصبي حاد نُقل على إثره إلى المستشفى لتلقي الرعاية الطبية.
من جانبها، باشرت السلطات الأمنية البرازيلية فتح تحقيق عاجل في الملابسات، إذ انتقلت الشرطة إلى موقع الجريمة وألقت القبض على ستة أشخاص من القائمين على إدارة اللعبة والعاملين فيها للتحقيق معهم بتهمة الإهمال الجسيم الذي أدى إلى الوفاة.

The victim had gone with her fiancé to the heights to partake in this adventure, but the experience turned into a tragedy when the workers threw her off without ensuring safety measures, leading to her sharp fall and immediate death.
The Fiancé's Shock and Police Investigations
In the aftermath of the incident, the young woman's fiancé - who witnessed the last moments of her life before his eyes - suffered a severe nervous breakdown and was taken to the hospital for medical care.
For its part, Brazilian security authorities initiated an urgent investigation into the circumstances, as the police moved to the crime scene and arrested six individuals involved in managing the game and its operations for questioning regarding the gross negligence that led to the death.
