برأت محكمة نروجية (الإثنين) غييرت إينغبريغتسن من تهم الاعتداء على ابنه، العداء البطل الأولمبي جايكوب إنغبريغتسن، لكنها حكمت عليه بالسجن 15 يوماً مع وقف التنفيذ بتهمة الاعتداء على ابنته إنغريد، بحسب محاميي الجانبين.
واتُهم غييرت (59 عاماً) الذي كان مدرباً لابنه، بممارسة العنف الجسدي والنفسي ضد ابنيه على مدى فترة إجمالية بلغت 14 عاماً، من 2008 إلى 2022، وهي التهم التي نفاها.
وجاءت خلاصة الحكم بعد نهاية المحاكمة الطويلة التي عقدت من 24 مارس حتى 15 مايو أمام قوس العدالة في ساندنس (جنوب غرب)، ليحصل على تبرئة القضاة من العنف الجسدي والنفسي الذي اتهمه جايكوب به، إلا أنهم وجدوه مذنباً بارتكاب حلقة عنف ضد ابنته إنغريد، دون تأييد الاتهامات الأخرى.
وزعمت إنغريد (19 عاماً) من خلال صورة لخدها الأحمر، أن والدها ضربها على وجهها بمنشفة مبللة أثناء شجار في يناير 2022.
ونال غييرت عقوبة سجن لـ15 يوماً مع وقف التنفيذ وأُمر بدفع تعويض لابنته قدره 10 آلاف كرونة (873 يورو).
وقالت محامية المدعين إيفون لارسن «لم يقولوا إنهم شعروا بخيبة الأمل. قالوا إنهم فوجئوا».
وطالب الادعاء بسجن غييرت لعامين ونصف العام في حين طالب الدفاع بتبرئته خلال المحاكمة.
وقال محاموه في بيان «إن العامل الحاسم في قرار المحكمة هو عدم وجود أدلة تثبت أن غييرت إينغبريغتسن كان يزرع الخوف الدائم في نفوس أطفاله».
وأضافوا أن «المحكمة لاحظت على وجه الخصوص أن العديد من أفراد الأسرة المقربين والشهود الخارجيين لم يلاحظوا أو يشهدوا أي معاملة سيئة».
ولدى الطرفين مهلة 14 يوماً لتقديم الاستئناف إن أرادا.
وصدم جايكوب إينغبريغتسن وشقيقاه هنريك وفيليب، وهما عداءان أيضاً، النروج في أكتوبر 2023 عندما اتهموا والدهم باستخدام «العنف الجسدي والتهديد» في تربيتهم.
وانفصل الإخوة عن والدهم في 2022.
ويعد جايكوب الأكثر تتويجاً بين الثلاثة، بعد فوزه بالميدالية الذهبية في بطولة العالم في سباق 5 آلاف متر في 2022 و2023، إضافة إلى لقبَي سباقَي 1500 متر و3 آلاف متر في مونديال 2025 داخل قاعة في نانكين الصينية، محققاً ثنائية نادرة داخل الصالة قبل بدء محاكمة والده.
وبعد فوزه بالميدالية الذهبية الأولمبية في سباق 1500 متر في طوكيو 2021، فاز أيضاً بلقب سباق 5 آلاف متر في دورة الألعاب الأولمبية في باريس الصيف الماضي.
A Norwegian court acquitted Geir Ingebrigtsen on Monday of charges of assaulting his son, Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen, but sentenced him to 15 days in prison, suspended, for assaulting his daughter Ingrid, according to lawyers for both sides.
Geir (59), who was his son's coach, was accused of physical and psychological violence against his children over a total period of 14 years, from 2008 to 2022, charges he denied.
The summary of the ruling came after the conclusion of a lengthy trial held from March 24 to May 15 in the court of justice in Sandnes (southwest), where he was acquitted by the judges of the physical and psychological violence alleged by Jakob, but found guilty of committing an act of violence against his daughter Ingrid, without supporting the other allegations.
Ingrid (19) claimed through a photo of her red cheek that her father hit her in the face with a wet towel during a fight in January 2022.
Geir received a 15-day suspended prison sentence and was ordered to pay his daughter 10,000 kroner (873 euros) in compensation.
Prosecutor's attorney Yvonne Larsen said, "They did not say they felt disappointed. They said they were surprised."
The prosecution had requested a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence for Geir, while the defense sought his acquittal during the trial.
His lawyers stated in a statement, "The decisive factor in the court's decision was the lack of evidence proving that Geir Ingebrigtsen instilled a constant fear in his children's minds."
They added that "the court particularly noted that many close family members and external witnesses did not observe or testify to any mistreatment."
Both parties have a 14-day period to file an appeal if they wish.
Jakob Ingebrigtsen and his brothers Henrik and Filip, who are also runners, shocked Norway in October 2023 when they accused their father of using "physical violence and threats" in their upbringing.
The brothers separated from their father in 2022.
Jakob is the most decorated among the three, having won the gold medal in the 5000 meters at the World Championships in 2022 and 2023, in addition to the titles in the 1500 meters and 3000 meters at the 2025 Indoor World Championships in Nanjing, China, achieving a rare double indoors before his father's trial began.
After winning the Olympic gold medal in the 1500 meters in Tokyo 2021, he also won the title in the 5000 meters at the Olympic Games in Paris last summer.
