وصف المدير الفني الجديد لنادي الهلال، الإيطالي سيموني إنزاغي، انتقاله إلى تدريب «الزعيم» بأنه يمثل فرصة عظيمة في مسيرته التدريبية، مشيراً إلى أن رغبته خوض تجربة خارج حدود الدوري الإيطالي، والآن تتحقق تلك الرغبة في دوري يتطور بشكل متسارع.
وفي أول مقابلة له بعد التوقيع الرسمي مع النادي، عبر قناة الهلال على «يوتيوب»، قال إنزاغي: «أنا سعيد جدًا بخوض هذه التجربة الجديدة. تابعت كرة القدم السعودية من قبل، ولعبت هنا أكثر من مرة مع لاتسيو والإنتر، ودائمًا كنت أتابع الهلال بتعاطف، خصوصًا مع وجود لاعبي السابق ميلينكوفيتش سافيتش الذي أثق كثيرًا بقدراته».
وأشار إلى أنه اطّلع على تاريخ الهلال، الذي منحه دافعًا قويًا لخوض هذه التجربة، مؤكدًا أن الجماهير العريضة التي تملأ المدرجات باستمرار تعكس الشعبية الجارفة لـ «الهلال» وحضوره الواسع.
وتحدث المدرب الإيطالي الحائز على جائزة أفضل مدرب في الدوري الإيطالي لموسم 2023–2024، عن فلسفته الفنية: «أهدافي مع الهلال واضحة، وهي الفوز بالألقاب وتقديم كرة قدم ممتعة، وتطبيق أسلوبي المعتمد على السرعة، الشدة، والإصرار»، مشيرًا إلى أن الفريق يملك الإمكانات اللازمة؛ لتحقيق هذه الأهداف.
وأوضح إنزاغي أن العمل مع مجموعة من اللاعبين الكبار، أبرزهم سيرجي ميلينكوفيتش سافيتش، سيساعده على نقل أفكاره بسرعة، مضيفًا: «سيكون بالنسبة لي إضافة قوية؛ فهو ليس لاعبًا متميزًا فحسب؛ بل يمتلك أيضًا شخصية رائعة، وسأكون سعيدًا بالإشراف على تدريبه مرة أخرى».
وأكد أن جميع اللاعبين يملكون فرصة للنجاح، وأن كل لاعب يبذل أقصى طاقته داخل الملعب سيكون مفتاحًا لتحقيق الانتصارات.
وقال إنزاغي إن المملكة تشهد نقلة نوعية في المجال الرياضي، من خلال تعزيز صفوف الأندية بلاعبين ومدربين أجانب بكفاءة وجودة عالية، إلى جانب تطوّر اللاعبين المحليين بشكل لافت.
وعن علاقته بالكرة الإيطالية، قال إنزاغي: «غادرت الإنتر ولدي ذكريات رائعة هناك. العلاقة مع ميلانو ستبقى مليئة بالاحترام، لكن الآن الطرق افترقت، وأنا أعيش مرحلة جديدة».
وحول مشاركته القادمة مع الهلال في كأس العالم للأندية 2025، قال إنزاغي: «المنافسة مرموقة للغاية، وسنواجه فرقاً من العيار الثقيل. سبق أن واجهت ريال مدريد مع الإنتر، وكذلك تشابي ألونسو عندما كان يدرب باير ليفركوزن. ستكون تحديات رائعة».
وسيفتتح الهلال مشواره في البطولة يوم 18 يونيو أمام ريال مدريد في مدينة ميامي الأمريكية، في قمة مبكرة تعكس حجم التحدي الذي ينتظر المدرب الجديد.
وكان مجلس إدارة شركة نادي الهلال برئاسة فهد بن نافل أنهى إجراءات التعاقد مع إنزاغي بعقد يمتد حتى نهاية موسم 2026–2027، في مراسم توقيع أقيمت بفندق «فور سيزونز جورج الخامس» بالعاصمة الفرنسية باريس يوم الأربعاء. وسيباشر المدرب مهماته التدريبية مع الفريق في الرياض خلال الأيام القادمة استعداداً للبطولة العالمية.
ويعد إنزاغي، البالغ من العمر 49 عامًا، من أبرز الأسماء التدريبية في أوروبا في السنوات الأخيرة، إذ حقق الدوري الإيطالي مع إنتر ميلان موسم 2023–2024، إضافة إلى كأس إيطاليا مرتين، والسوبر الإيطالي ثلاث مرات، ووصل إلى نهائي دوري أبطال أوروبا في مناسبتين، كما حقق كأس إيطاليا والسوبر الإيطالي مع لاتسيو.
The new head coach of Al-Hilal, Italian Simone Inzaghi, described his move to coach "The Leader" as a great opportunity in his coaching career, noting that his desire to experience coaching outside the Italian league is now being fulfilled in a rapidly developing league.
In his first interview after the official signing with the club, broadcasted on Al-Hilal's YouTube channel, Inzaghi said: "I am very happy to embark on this new experience. I have followed Saudi football before, and I have played here several times with Lazio and Inter, and I have always followed Al-Hilal with sympathy, especially with the presence of my former player Sergej Milinković-Savić, whom I have great confidence in his abilities."
He pointed out that he has looked into Al-Hilal's history, which gave him a strong motivation to take on this experience, confirming that the large crowds that constantly fill the stands reflect the overwhelming popularity of "Al-Hilal" and its wide presence.
The Italian coach, who won the award for Best Coach in the Italian league for the 2023–2024 season, spoke about his coaching philosophy: "My goals with Al-Hilal are clear, which are to win titles and provide entertaining football, applying my style based on speed, intensity, and determination," noting that the team has the necessary capabilities to achieve these goals.
Inzaghi explained that working with a group of top players, most notably Sergej Milinković-Savić, will help him convey his ideas quickly, adding: "He will be a strong addition for me; he is not only an outstanding player but also possesses a wonderful personality, and I will be happy to oversee his training again."
He confirmed that all players have the opportunity to succeed, and that every player who gives their utmost on the field will be a key to achieving victories.
Inzaghi stated that the Kingdom is witnessing a qualitative leap in the sports field, through strengthening the clubs with foreign players and coaches of high efficiency and quality, alongside the remarkable development of local players.
Regarding his relationship with Italian football, Inzaghi said: "I left Inter with wonderful memories there. The relationship with Milan will always be filled with respect, but now our paths have diverged, and I am living a new phase."
About his upcoming participation with Al-Hilal in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, Inzaghi said: "The competition is very prestigious, and we will face heavyweight teams. I have previously faced Real Madrid with Inter, as well as Xabi Alonso when he was coaching Bayer Leverkusen. It will be great challenges."
Al-Hilal will kick off its journey in the tournament on June 18 against Real Madrid in Miami, USA, in an early clash that reflects the magnitude of the challenge awaiting the new coach.
The Board of Directors of Al-Hilal Club, headed by Fahd bin Nafel, completed the procedures for signing Inzaghi with a contract that extends until the end of the 2026–2027 season, in a signing ceremony held at the "Four Seasons George V" hotel in the French capital, Paris, on Wednesday. The coach will begin his training duties with the team in Riyadh in the coming days in preparation for the global tournament.
Inzaghi, who is 49 years old, is considered one of the prominent coaching names in Europe in recent years, having won the Italian league with Inter Milan in the 2023–2024 season, in addition to the Coppa Italia twice, the Italian Super Cup three times, and reaching the UEFA Champions League final twice, as well as winning the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup with Lazio.
