ويعد النادي الأهلي السعودي أول فريق في العالم يضمن تأهله لهذا الحدث الكروي الكبير، بعد تتويجه بلقب دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة 2024-2025، بفوزه على فريق كاواساكي فرونتالي الياباني في النهائي.
ويأتي هذا الإنجاز كتتويج لمسيرة مميزة للأهلي، الذي أصبح أول نادٍ يحقق هذا اللقب بنظامه الجديد، مما يعزز مكانته كقوة كروية صاعدة في القارة الآسيوية.
من جانب آخر، حسم نادي باريس سان جيرمان الفرنسي مقعده في البطولة بعد فوزه بلقب دوري أبطال أوروبا لموسم 2024-2025، في إنجاز يعكس قوة الفريق المدعوم بنجوم عالميين، ليكون ثاني الأندية المتأهلة رسمياً للمونديال.
كما حسم ليلة أمس، ولأول مرة في تاريخه، نادي بيراميدز المصري تأهله ممثلاً عن قارة أفريقيا بعد حصده لقب دوري أبطال أفريقيا عقب فوزه على ماميلودي صن داونز الجنوب أفريقي في المباراة النهائية.
وانضم إليهم بطل كأس كونكاكاف، كروز أزول المكسيكي، الذي توج بلقب دوري أبطال الكونكاكاف للمرة السابعة في تاريخه بعد فوز ساحق بخماسية نظيفة على فانكوفر وايتكابس الكندي في النهائي بالملعب الأولمبي.
وتُعد بطولة كأس العالم للأندية 2029 النسخة الثانية التي تُقام بنظامها الموسع بمشاركة 32 فريقاً، إذ ستُلعب خلال يونيو ويوليو 2029.
ووفقاً لنظام التأهل المعتمد من الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) في 14 مارس 2023، يضمن الفائزون بألقاب البطولات القارية الكبرى خلال الفترة من 2025 إلى 2028 التأهل المباشر.
وتتوزع المقاعد على النحو التالي: 12 مقعداً لأوروبا، 6 مقاعد لأمريكا الجنوبية، 4 مقاعد لكل من آسيا، وأفريقيا، وأمريكا الشمالية والوسطى والكاريبي، ومقعد واحد لأوقيانوسيا، إضافة إلى مقعد للبلد المضيف.
وفي حال فوز نادٍ بلقب قاري أكثر من مرة خلال الفترة المذكورة، يتم تخصيص المقاعد الإضافية بناءً على تصنيف الأندية خلال الأربع سنوات، مع استثناء يسمح بتأهل أكثر من ناديين من نفس الدولة إذا فازا باللقب القاري.
وتعتمد تصنيفات الأندية على أدائها في البطولات القارية خلال الفترة من 2025 إلى 2028، مع نظام نقاط خاص لكل اتحاد قاري.
وتشير التوقعات إلى أن أستراليا، ربما بالتعاون مع نيوزيلندا، قد تستضيف البطولة، بعد نجاحها في استضافة كأس العالم للسيدات 2023، بينما تتنافس دول أخرى مثل إسبانيا والبرتغال والمغرب لاستضافة الحدث كجزء من التحضيرات لكأس العالم 2030.
