The pediatric consultant Dr. Nasr Al-Din Al-Sharif confirmed to "Okaz" that there are social and psychological dimensions resulting from children attending matches with their parents and participating in cheering and following the game alongside adults. This fosters a sense of belonging to the club and a love for sports from a young age. He pointed out that the joy of winning is not limited to adults but extends to these children who are keen to attend. We often see many pictures of children captured by stadium cameras as they express their joy at winning or their disappointment at losing.
He stated that the joy of the children who support Al-Ittihad has become immense after the team was crowned the Roshan League champions. Children find immense happiness when they experience the joy of victory. The recent matches of Al-Ittihad, which they won in the dying minutes, brought indescribable happiness to the children, as they left the stadium with joy on their faces. This deepens their attachment to the sport of football even more. He added, "The International Football Federation and other sports organizations in all countries of the world have paid attention to childhood and have given this aspect special and significant importance. The presence of children in stadiums and their exit alongside players has become a scene that emphasizes the importance of caring for childhood and encouraging them to practice sports. When children find this sports interest from a young age, their attachment to sports becomes strong." Dr. Al-Sharif concluded his remarks by saying, "They always say, 'Like father, like son,' and this is reflected in most of the great players who cared for their children and instilled a love for sports in them. This love began with sports encouragement and extended to playing football. Most of the players' children followed in their fathers' footsteps and joined sports academies and clubs, becoming players in the same way as their fathers. Among them are Rivaldinho, the son of Rivaldo, George Isitham, the son of Isitham, Alex Eremenko, who shares the same name as his father Alex Eremenko, and Edouard Gudjohnsen, the son of Arnor Gudjohnsen, among others. Interestingly, these sons have played against their fathers in many matches and have been admired by everyone."
