سجّل نادي ترورو سيتي، رقماً قياسياً لأطول رحلة خارجية في تاريخ كرة القدم الإنكليزية، بعد أن سافر مسافة 914 ميلاً (حوالى 1,471 كلم) ذهاباً وإياباً لمواجهة فريق «غيتسهيد» في الدوري الوطني، الذي بات ينافس فيه هذا الموسم بعد صعوده الموسم الفائت.
ويعود سبب الرحلات الطويلة إلى موقع النادي الجغرافي، وقد كسر هذا الرقم القياسي رقمه السابق الذي سجله في وقت سابق من الموسم خلال رحلة إلى كارلايل. وللتخفيف من مشقة الرحلة، سافر اللاعبون قبل يوم من المباراة وتوقفوا في ديربي للتدريب، ثم أقاموا في دارلينغتون للمبيت، في رحلة بالحافلة استغرقت بين 10 و12 ساعة.
انتهت المباراة بالتعادل 2-2، بعد أن كان ترورو سيتي متقدماً 2-0، وحظي المشجعون الذين قطعوا المسافة الطويلة بتقدير خاص من النادي.

Truro City FC set a record for the longest away trip in the history of English football, having traveled a distance of 914 miles (approximately 1,471 km) round trip to face Gateshead in the National League, which they are competing in this season after their promotion last season.
The reason for the long journeys is the club's geographical location, and this record broke their previous one set earlier in the season during a trip to Carlisle. To ease the burden of the journey, the players traveled a day before the match and stopped in Derby for training, then stayed overnight in Darlington, in a bus journey that took between 10 and 12 hours.
The match ended in a 2-2 draw, after Truro City had been leading 2-0, and the fans who made the long trip were given special appreciation by the club.
This record is considered a unique achievement and highlights the challenges faced by smaller clubs playing in leagues that cover vast geographical areas.
