مواجهتان مثيرتان تنطلقان عند تمام الساعة 10:30 من ليل اليوم الأربعاء، حين يصطدم منتخبان من أمريكا الجنوبية بنظيريهما الأفريقيين في المواجهتين المبكرتين من دور الـ16، إذ تلتقي الأرجنتين نيجيريا، وتواجه كولومبيا منتخب جنوب أفريقيا في كأس العالم تحت 20 سنة FIFA تشيلي 2025™.
على ملعب سانتياغو تتجه الأنظار نحو اللقاء المثير الذي سيجمع الأرجنتين متصدر المجموعة الرابعة ومنتخب نيجيريا ثالث المجموعة السادسة، ولا شك أن المنتخبين يعرفان بعضهما جيداً في تاريخ بطولات كأس العالم تحت 20 سنة، إذ التقيا في النهائي بهولندا عام 2005، عندما قاد ليونيل ميسي المنتخب الأرجنتيني الشاب إلى منصة التتويج. وتمكنت النسور الطائرة من رد الاعتبار في هذه المرحلة قبل عامين، بعدما أنهى فريق لادان بوسو رحلة أصحاب الأرض نحو لقبهم السابع القياسي، والليلة يسعى كل منتخب لتأكيد أفضليته والعبور لربع النهائي.
وعلى ملعب تالكا، يلتقي منتخب كولومبيا متصدر المجموعة السادسة منتخب جنوب أفريقيا وصيف المجموعة الخامسة، ولفت المنتخب الكولومبي الأنظار بأسلوبه الهجومي السريع خلال دور المجموعات، غير أنه تمكن من تحويل 41 تسديدة إلى هدفين فقط. وسيكون مطالباً بتحسين نجاعته الهجومية إذا أراد تجاوز منتخب جنوب أفريقيا، الذي خاض مشواراً مميزاً رغم خسارته أمام فرنسا، قبل أن يتفوق على كاليدونيا الجديدة ويحقق فوزاً لافتاً على الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ليبلغ هذا الدور للمرة الأولى منذ نسخة مصر 2009.
