لم يكشف الناديان عن قيمة الصفقة، لكن وسائل إعلام بريطانية رجحت أنها كلفت خزينة إيفرتون 27.5 مليون جنيه إسترليني، ووقع اللاعب الفرنسي عقداً مدته أربعة مواسم، بحسب وكالة الأنباء الألمانية.
ورحل باري عن فياريال بعد موسم واحد فقط من انضمامه قادماً من بازل السويسري، وسجل 11 هدفاً في الدوري الإسباني.
