توفي الدكتور ميمي عبدالرازق، مدرب المصري البورسعيدي السابق، ورئيس لجنة التخطيط بالنادي، اليوم (الأربعاء)، عن عمر ناهز 65 عاماً إثر أزمة قلبية مفاجئة.
ونعى النادي المدرب الراحل في بيان قال فيه: «بقلوب يعتصرها الحزن والأسى، ينعى مجلس إدارة النادي المصري برئاسة كامل أبو علي، وفاة المغفور له بإذن الله الأستاذ الدكتور ميمي عبدالرازق رئيس لجنة التخطيط بالنادي الذي وافته المنية منذ قليل».
وأضاف البيان: «يعد ميمي عبدالرازق واحداً من رموز النادي وأحد أبرز من صاغوا تاريخه، ويتوجه بخالص العزاء لأسرة الفقيد الراحل وأبنائه وأصدقائه ومحبيه وسائر جماهيره، داعين المولى عز وجل أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته ومغفرته ويسكنه فسيح جناته، وأن يلهم أهله وذويه جميل الصبر والسلوان. إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون».
وكان المصري قد كلّف أخيراً الدكتور ميمي عبدالرازق برئاسة لجنة التخطيط، عقب قيادته الفريق في المرحلة الأخيرة من مسابقة الدوري الممتاز الموسم الماضي، التي حقق خلالها المركز الرابع، ما أهله للمشاركة في بطولة الكونفيدرالية الأفريقية.
Dr. Mimi Abdelrazek, the former coach of Al-Masry SC and head of the club's planning committee, passed away today (Wednesday) at the age of 65 due to a sudden heart attack.
The club mourned the late coach in a statement that said: “With hearts filled with sorrow and grief, the board of directors of Al-Masry Club, headed by Kamel Abu Ali, mourns the passing of the late Professor Dr. Mimi Abdelrazek, head of the club's planning committee, who has just passed away.”
The statement added: “Mimi Abdelrazek is considered one of the symbols of the club and one of the most prominent figures who shaped its history. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, his children, friends, and loved ones, as well as all his fans, praying to Almighty God to envelop him in His vast mercy and forgiveness and grant him a place in His spacious gardens, and to inspire his family and relatives with patience and solace. Indeed, we belong to God and to Him we shall return.”
Recently, Al-Masry had appointed Dr. Mimi Abdelrazek as the head of the planning committee after he led the team in the final stage of last season's Premier League, during which they achieved fourth place, qualifying them for participation in the African Confederation Cup.
