في لحظة تاريخية للكرة المصرية، نجح نادي بيراميدز المصري، في تحقيق إنجاز غير مسبوق بتتويجه بلقب دوري أبطال أفريقيا لكرة القدم 2025، بعد فوز مثير بنتيجة 2-1 على فريق «صن داونز» الجنوب أفريقي في مباراة الإياب التي أقيمت مساء أمس (الأحد) على ملعب الدفاع الجوي بالقاهرة.
هذا الفوز جعل بيراميدز رابع نادٍ مصري يحصد اللقب القاري، لتؤكد مصر هيمنتها على البطولة كأول دولة في تاريخ أفريقيا تمتلك أربعة أندية مختلفة تحمل اللقب.
انطلقت المباراة بحماس كبير من الفريق المصري، وافتتح النجم الكونغولي فيستون ماييلي التسجيل في الدقيقة 23 بعد استغلال كرة مرتدة من دفاع صن داونز، ليطلق تسديدة قوية استقرت على يمين الحارس رونوين ويليامز، مشعلاً الحماس في مدرجات الملعب المكتظة بالجماهير.
وفي الشوط الثاني، أضاف المدافع أحمد سامي الهدف الثاني في الدقيقة 58، بعد تمريرة عرضية متقنة من النجم المغربي محمد الشيبي من ضربة حرة، حولها سامي برأسية محكمة إلى شباك الفريق الجنوب أفريقي.
ومع محاولات صن داونز العنيفة للعودة، نجح لاعبه إييكرام راينيرز في تقليص الفارق في الدقيقة 75 بعد استغلال خطأ دفاعي من بيراميدز، لكن الدفاع المصري تماسك بقوة ليحافظ على التقدم حتى صافرة النهاية.
وكانت مباراة الذهاب في بريتوريا قد انتهت بالتعادل 1-1، ليحسم بيراميدز اللقب بنتيجة إجمالية 3-2، معلناً نفسه بطلاً جديداً للقارة السمراء.
يعد هذا التتويج تتويجاً لمسيرة طموحة بدأت عام 2008 عندما تأسس النادي تحت اسم «الأسيوطي سبورت»، قبل أن يتحول إلى «بيراميدز» عام 2018.
وخلال سنوات قليلة، نجح النادي في بناء فريق قوي من خلال استقطاب نجوم مثل فيستون ماييلي ومحمد الشيبي، وتحت قيادة المدرب الكرواتي كرونوسلاف يورشيتش، الذي قاد الفريق إلى هذا الإنجاز التاريخي.
ويُعد بيراميدز أول فريق مصري خارج قطبَي الكرة المصرية (الأهلي والزمالك) يفوز باللقب القاري منذ الإسماعيلي عام 1969، ما يعكس تطور الكرة المصرية وتنامي المنافسة داخل الدوري المحلي.
وبهذا الفوز، أصبحت مصر الدولة الوحيدة التي تمتلك أربعة أندية مختلفة فازت بدوري أبطال أفريقيا، وهي الأهلي (11 لقباً)، الزمالك (5 ألقاب)، الإسماعيلي (لقب واحد)، وبيراميدز (لقب واحد).
كما أن مصر تتربع على صدارة الدول في البطولة بنظامها الحديث، إذ أصبح «بيراميدز» ثالث نادٍ مصري يحرز اللقب بعد الأهلي والزمالك، متفوقة على أي دولة أخرى.
وعبر مدرب بيراميدز، كرونوسلاف يورشيتش، عن فخره بالإنجاز، قائلاً: «هذا اللقب هو حلم تحقق بفضل جهود اللاعبين ودعم الجماهير والإدارة. لقد أثبتنا أن بيراميدز قوة أفريقية جديدة».
In a historic moment for Egyptian football, the Egyptian club Pyramids succeeded in achieving an unprecedented feat by winning the title of the 2025 African Champions League, after an exciting victory with a score of 2-1 against the South African team "Sundowns" in the second leg match held last night (Sunday) at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo.
This victory made Pyramids the fourth Egyptian club to win the continental title, confirming Egypt's dominance in the tournament as the first country in Africa's history to have four different clubs holding the title.
The match started with great enthusiasm from the Egyptian team, and Congolese star Viston Mayele opened the scoring in the 23rd minute after capitalizing on a rebound from the Sundowns defense, firing a powerful shot that settled to the right of goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, igniting excitement in the stands filled with fans.
In the second half, defender Ahmed Sami added the second goal in the 58th minute, after a precise cross from Moroccan star Mohamed El-Shenawy from a free kick, which Sami headed firmly into the net of the South African team.
With Sundowns making fierce attempts to come back, their player Eikram Rainers managed to reduce the deficit in the 75th minute after exploiting a defensive error from Pyramids, but the Egyptian defense held strong to maintain the lead until the final whistle.
The first leg match in Pretoria ended in a 1-1 draw, allowing Pyramids to secure the title with an aggregate score of 3-2, declaring themselves the new champions of the African continent.
This victory marks the culmination of an ambitious journey that began in 2008 when the club was founded under the name "Assiut Sport," before transforming into "Pyramids" in 2018.
In just a few years, the club succeeded in building a strong team by attracting stars like Viston Mayele and Mohamed El-Shenawy, under the leadership of Croatian coach Kronoslav Jurcic, who led the team to this historic achievement.
Pyramids is the first Egyptian team outside the two poles of Egyptian football (Al Ahly and Zamalek) to win the continental title since Ismaily in 1969, reflecting the development of Egyptian football and the growing competition within the local league.
With this victory, Egypt became the only country to have four different clubs that have won the African Champions League, namely Al Ahly (11 titles), Zamalek (5 titles), Ismaily (1 title), and Pyramids (1 title).
Moreover, Egypt tops the list of countries in the tournament under its modern system, as "Pyramids" became the third Egyptian club to win the title after Al Ahly and Zamalek, surpassing any other country.
Pyramids coach Kronoslav Jurcic expressed his pride in the achievement, saying: "This title is a dream come true thanks to the efforts of the players and the support of the fans and management. We have proven that Pyramids is a new African force."
