Scientists and preachers participating in the annual religious forum in Aden Governorate confirmed today (Thursday) the necessity of responding to the general mobilization called for by the President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi. They emphasized the importance of unity and standing behind the legitimate leadership, as well as confronting the terrorist Houthi militia.
A statement issued by the forum, organized by the Communication Program with Yemeni Scholars in the city of Aden, clarified that shedding blood and rebelling against the authority of the state and its leaders are among the prohibited acts and serious crimes. It accused the Houthi militia of committing violations that included the shedding of innocent blood, the destruction of mosques, and terrorizing civilians, reaching the point of targeting Islamic sanctities in Mecca and Medina, as well as bombing airports and civilian sites.
The statement called for religious and popular alignment around the legitimate leadership and for fulfilling the duty of confronting the Houthi militia and combating its ideas and beliefs, affirming that this includes jihad through words and statements, in addition to participation in the fronts and military sites, as stated in the statement.
The scientists and preachers stressed the necessity of continuing the call to confront the Houthi militia and the obligation of the Muslim community to do so until it retracts its practices and returns to what the statement described as the command of God.
The forum appreciated Saudi support for Yemen, praising the material, moral, military, and civilian assistance provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and reaffirming support for the political leadership and the coalition in confronting the Houthi militia.
Participants also extended their greetings to members of the armed forces in all their formations and those stationed at the fronts, commending their role in defending the country, and praying to God to protect them, grant them victory, accept the martyrs, heal the wounded, and free the war captives.
