قرر مجلس إدارة الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم، برئاسة المهندس هاني أبو ريدة، تعديل موعد انطلاق مباراة نهائي كأس مصر بين الزمالك وبيراميدز إلى الساعة الثامنة والنصف بتوقيت مكة المكرمة، وذلك مراعاةً لتزامن موعد اللقاء مع توقيت أذان المغرب يوم وقفة عيد الأضحى، بدلاً من الموعد المحدد سابقاً في الساعة الثامنة تماماً بتوقيت مكة المكرمة.
وتقام المباراة المرتقبة مساء الخميس 5 يونيو 2025 على استاد القاهرة الدولي، وتشهد حضوراً جماهيرياً مكثفاً في ظل الاهتمام الكبير بالنهائي الذي يجمع فريقين من أبرز منافسي الموسم.
وأثار توقيت إقامة المباراة بعد الإفطار مباشرة جدلاً واسعاً في الأوساط الطبية والرياضية، حيث حذّر الدكتور أيمن فريد، طبيب الزمالك السابق، من تداعيات الأداء البدني العنيف عقب فترة قصيرة من الإفطار. وأشار إلى أن الجسم يحتاج إلى نحو 3 ساعات ونصف الساعة لهضم الطعام واستعادة التوازن الجسدي، داعياً إلى تأجيل انطلاق المباراة ساعة إضافية لضمان الجاهزية البدنية وتقليل مخاطر الإصابات.
على الصعيد التنظيمي، كشف مصدر من داخل الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم أن لجنة الحكام استقرت على تعيين الحكم الدولي محمد الحنفي لإدارة النهائي، في خطوة اعتبرها الاتحاد تكريماً للحكم المخضرم قبيل اعتزاله. وفي المقابل، وجّه نادي الزمالك خطاباً رسمياً إلى الاتحاد رفض فيه تعيين بعض الحكام، من بينهم أمين عمر، ومحمود البنا، ومحمد الصباحي، وطارق مجدي، احتجاجاً على ما وصفه بـ«أخطاء تحكيمية متكررة» خلال الموسم.
وفي إطار قرارات الجلسة، وافق مجلس إدارة الاتحاد على مشاركة بطل دوري الكرة النسائية لهذا الموسم في النسخة المقبلة من دوري أبطال أفريقيا للسيدات (2025–2026). كما اعتمد المجلس توصية لجنة مسابقات القسم الثالث بشطب اللاعب المعتز بالله عبدالنبي، لاعب مركز شباب قها.
• طريق النهائي
بلغ الزمالك نهائي البطولة بعد فوزه على أبو قير للأسمدة (2-0)، ومودرن سبورت (2-1)، وسموحة (4-2)، قبل أن يتجاوز سيراميكا كليوباترا في نصف النهائي بنتيجة (2-1) بفضل هدف قاتل في الدقيقة الأخيرة عبر زيزو. أما بيراميدز فقد شق طريقه إلى النهائي بانتصارات متتالية على المنصورة (3-0)، المقاولون العرب (2-0)، إنبي (2-1)، واختتمها بفوز كبير على البنك الأهلي (4-0).
يذكر أن الزمالك يسعى لتحقيق لقبه التاسع والعشرين في تاريخ كأس مصر، بينما يأمل بيراميدز في حصد لقبه الثاني على التوالي، في تكرار لمواجهة نهائي نسخة 2019 التي حسمها الفريق الأبيض بثلاثية نظيفة.

The anticipated match will take place on the evening of Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Cairo International Stadium, and is expected to witness a large turnout of fans due to the significant interest in the final, which brings together two of the season's top competitors.
The timing of the match being held immediately after iftar has sparked widespread controversy in medical and sports circles, as Dr. Ayman Farid, the former doctor of Zamalek, warned of the repercussions of intense physical performance shortly after iftar. He pointed out that the body needs about 3.5 hours to digest food and regain physical balance, calling for the kickoff to be postponed by an additional hour to ensure physical readiness and reduce the risk of injuries.
On the organizational front, a source within the Egyptian Football Association revealed that the referees committee has decided to appoint international referee Mohamed El-Henafy to officiate the final, a step that the association considers a tribute to the veteran referee ahead of his retirement. In contrast, Zamalek Club sent an official letter to the association rejecting the appointment of certain referees, including Amin Omar, Mahmoud El-Banna, Mohamed El-Sabahi, and Tarek Magdy, protesting what it described as "repeated refereeing errors" throughout the season.
As part of the session's decisions, the Board of Directors of the association approved the participation of this season's women's league champion in the upcoming edition of the Women's Champions League (2025–2026). The council also endorsed the recommendation of the third division competitions committee to expel player Al-Mo'taz Billah Abdel Nabi, a player from Qaha Youth Center.
