The military confrontations between the Yemeni government forces and the Houthi militia continue on several fronts, with the scope of field operations expanding within the "Dawn of Yemen" operation, which has entered its second month, amid airstrikes targeting militia gatherings and their military movements.
Downing of a Houthi drone
On the northern front in Marib province, the Yemeni air force targeted military vehicles and camps belonging to the Houthis, while government forces managed to down a drone belonging to the militia on the Mas front west of the Raghwan district in Marib province, in a development that reflects the ongoing confrontations on the northern axes of the province.
In Al-Jawf, government forces continued their military operations for the third consecutive day in the southern and eastern parts of the province, amid fierce clashes in the southern and southeastern axes, supported by warplanes and drones. Military sources reported achieving field progress, regaining strategic positions, and opening the road linking Marib and Al-Jawf.
Advancement on the Tor Al-Bahah front
In Taiz, government forces announced the thwarting of Houthi attacks in the Al-Kamb area on the eastern fronts, in addition to repelling an attack that lasted for hours on the Al-Aqroud front, while the air force carried out strikes targeting militia gatherings and military vehicles in Al-Masrak and Al-Maqatra.
In Lahij province, the Giants Forces and the National Shield Forces announced progress on the Tor Al-Bahah front, controlling new positions, and thwarting Houthi infiltration attempts. Military sources reported advancements for the forces on the Al-Mudharabah front, seizing heights and strategic positions.
Colonel Majid Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Yemeni armed forces, stated that the forces carried out 1,211 operations targeting positions, gatherings, reinforcements, vehicles, and fire sources belonging to the Houthis, as part of the "Dawn of Yemen" operation, which includes the fronts of Taiz, Marib, and Tor Al-Bahah.
The crisis in Taiz worsens
Alongside the military escalation, the humanitarian and health conditions in Taiz are worsening, with continued road closures and shortages of fuel and medical supplies. Health authorities warned that more than 80% of health facilities are at risk of going out of service, while hospitals face the danger of halting vital departments due to fuel shortages. The International Committee of the Red Cross announced last Wednesday that it delivered four trucks loaded with medical supplies to the city, after aid had been unable to reach for weeks due to confrontations and the closure of supply routes.
For his part, the spokesperson for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, announced today (Sunday) the interception and destruction of two cruise missiles in Riyadh and the southern region, as well as a ballistic missile launched by the terrorist Houthi militia towards the eastern region.
