أكد وزيرا خارجية مصر وألمانيا، ضرورة تكثيف الجهود الرامية إلى خفض التصعيد واحتواء التوتر في المنطقة، وأهمية الحفاظ على أمن الملاحة في البحر الأحمر وانسياب حركة التجارة الدولية؛ اتساقًا مع قواعد القانون الدولي وقانون الأمم المتحدة لأعالي البحار.
وخلال اتصال هاتفي، اليوم الثلاثاء، بين وزير الخارجية المصري الدكتور بدر عبد العاطي ونظيره الألماني يوهان فاديفول، لبحث مستجدات الأوضاع في الإقليم، شدد الوزيران على أهمية تضافر الجهود الإقليمية والدولية للدفع نحو الحلول الدبلوماسية، ومنع اتساع رقعة الصدام في المنطقة، والعمل على احتواء التوترات بما يسهم في استعادة الأمن والاستقرار الإقليمي.
كما أشاد الوزيران بالطفرة التي تشهدها العلاقات المصرية الألمانية، خلال السنوات الأخيرة، في مختلف المجالات، معربين عن تطلعهما إلى مواصلة العمل المشترك خلال الفترة المقبلة للارتقاء بالعلاقات الثنائية إلى آفاق أرحب، بما يعكس حجم المصالح المشتركة ومستوى التعاون القائم بين البلدين.
The Foreign Ministers of Egypt and Germany emphasized the necessity of intensifying efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and containing conflicts in the region, as well as the importance of maintaining the security of navigation in the Red Sea and the smooth flow of international trade; in accordance with the rules of international law and the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.
During a phone call today, Tuesday, between Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel Atty and his German counterpart Johan Wadephol, to discuss the latest developments in the region, the two ministers stressed the importance of regional and international cooperation to push for diplomatic solutions, prevent the expansion of conflicts in the area, and work on containing tensions to contribute to restoring regional security and stability.
The ministers also praised the leap in Egyptian-German relations in recent years across various fields, expressing their hopes to continue joint efforts in the upcoming period to elevate bilateral relations to broader horizons, reflecting the extent of mutual interests and the level of cooperation between the two countries.
