The Iraqi News Agency "INA" quoted al-Halbousi as saying: "We condemn the attacks that targeted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reiterate that the use of Iraqi territory or passing through its airspace to threaten the security of Saudi Arabia or any neighboring country is unacceptable and condemned, and does not align with Iraq's policy, national interests, and its relations with its brothers and neighbors."
The Iraqi Parliament Speaker stressed in a statement the "importance of adhering to the principle of restricting weapons to the state and its constitutional institutions, under the command of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, which enhances the sovereignty of the state and preserves the security and stability of the country, preventing Iraq from being dragged into regional conflicts." He affirmed his support for the measures taken by the Iraqi government, foremost among them launching an urgent investigation to uncover the parties involved in these attacks and taking legal action against anyone proven to be involved. Al-Halbousi appreciated the government's efforts to contain the situation and maintain fraternal relations with Saudi Arabia, which preserves Iraq's interests and spares the country and the region further escalation.
