وسط تصاعد المواجهات بين القوات اليمنية ومليشيات الحوثي، شن الجيش اليمني، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، هجمات على مواقع حوثية في محافظة الجوف شمال اليمن.
ونشرت القوات اليمنية-المنطقة الثالثة مشاهد لاستهداف عناصر وتحصينات للمليشيات في الحزم. وأكدت القوات اليمنية أنها استهدفت أطقماً وعربات نقل تابعة للحوثيين.
وكانت القوات المسلحة اليمنية، أعلنت مساء أمس (الإثنين)، تنفيذ 133 عملية عسكرية استهدفت قدرات وعناصر حوثية خلال الساعات الـ24 الماضية. وقالت إن العمليات شملت استخدام الراجمات والمدفعية والطائرات المسيّرة، بهدف تدمير مصادر التهديد واستهداف مواقع وقدرات الحوثيين.
وأشارت إلى أن العمليات تأتي في إطار جهودها لمواجهة تحركات الحوثيين والحد من قدراتهم، مشيرة إلى أن العملية نُفذت بمشاركة وحدات الجيش المتمركزة على خطوط التماس.
وتوسعت الاشتباكات بين الجيش اليمني والحوثيين أخيراً لتطال عدة جبهات، بينها مأرب والجوف والحديدة، فضلاً عن تعز والضالع وحضرموت.
وتزامن التصعيد الحوثي في اليمن وتهديد المليشيات للسفن التجارية والتلويح بإغلاق باب المندب، مع شل إيران عملياً حركة الملاحة في مضيق هرمز، الذي أصبح بؤرة التوتر الرئيسية بين طهران وواشنطن في خضم الجهود المبذولة لإنهاء الحرب التي اندلعت مع شن الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل ضربات على إيران في أواخر فبراير الماضي.
Amid escalating confrontations between Yemeni forces and Houthi militias, the Yemeni army launched attacks today (Tuesday) on Houthi positions in Al-Jawf province in northern Yemen.
The Yemeni forces - Third Region published footage of targeting elements and fortifications of the militias in Al-Hazm. The Yemeni forces confirmed that they targeted vehicles and transport convoys belonging to the Houthis.
The Yemeni armed forces announced last night (Monday) the execution of 133 military operations targeting Houthi capabilities and elements over the past 24 hours. They stated that the operations included the use of rocket launchers, artillery, and drones, aimed at destroying sources of threat and targeting Houthi positions and capabilities.
They indicated that the operations are part of their efforts to counter Houthi movements and limit their capabilities, noting that the operation was carried out with the participation of army units stationed along the front lines.
Clashes between the Yemeni army and the Houthis have recently expanded to several fronts, including Marib, Al-Jawf, and Al-Hudaydah, as well as Taiz, Al-Dhale, and Hadramout.
The Houthi escalation in Yemen and the threats from the militias against commercial ships, along with the hint of closing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, coincided with Iran effectively paralyzing maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz, which has become the main focal point of tension between Tehran and Washington amid efforts to end the war that erupted following U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran in late February.
