لقي ثلاثة أشخاص مصرعهم جراء تحطم طائرة هليكوبتر بجزيرة سيفنون اليونانية اليوم (الإثنين). وبحسب مسؤولين بقطاع الإطفاء في اليونان، فإن الطيار وراكبين اثنين قُتلوا.
وقال المسؤولون إن الطائرة تحطمت بعد وقت قصير من إقلاعها، ولا يزال سبب الحادث مجهولاً.
وعرضت وسائل إعلام يونانية صوراً لموقع التحطم على سفح تل، حيث تصاعدت كرة من اللهب محدثة عموداً من الدخان الكثيف.
تمكنت عناصر الإنقاذ من السيطرة على حريق اندلع في جزيرة سكيروس اليونانية في بحر إيجة أمس (الأحد)، بينما قضى شخصان في حريقين في جزيرة سالاميس بالقرب من أثينا.
وأكد متحدث باسم إدارة الإطفاء انتشال جثتين من منطقة شاطئ بيرستيريا في جنوب جزيرة سالاميس، فيما تم إجلاء مئات الأشخاص بعد اندلاع حريقين في الجزيرة.
وأفادت وكالة الأنباء اليونانية بأن تسعة أشخاص احتاجوا إلى رعاية طبية بسبب إصابات بحروق.
وقال نائب المتحدث باسم الجهاز يانيس أرتوبيوس لهيئة الإذاعة والتلفزيون اليونانية، إن وزارة الحماية المدنية أصدرت أربعة أوامر إخلاء في وقت قصير، إذ اندلعت الحرائق في وقت شبه متزامن في بريستيريا وسيلينيا، وهما من أشهر مناطق السباحة في جنوب الجزيرة وشرقها.
واندلع حريق السبت في منطقة أتسيتسا في قلب غابة صنوبر بجزيرة سكيروس، وانتشر بسرعة في جميع أنحاء هذا الجزء الشمالي الغربي من الجزيرة في ظل رياح قوية.
وذكرت هيئة الإذاعة والتلفزيون اليونانية أن معركة شرسة خاضها عناصر الإطفاء طوال الليل ضد النيران، مشيرة إلى تلقي تعزيزات من البر الرئيسي.

Deputy spokesperson for the agency, Giannis Artobios, told the Greek radio and television authority that the Ministry of Civil Protection issued four evacuation orders in a short time, as the fires broke out almost simultaneously in Peristeria and Selinia, which are among the most popular swimming areas in the southern and eastern parts of the island.
A fire broke out on Saturday in the Atsitsa area in the heart of a pine forest on Skyros Island, spreading rapidly throughout this northwestern part of the island amid strong winds.
The Greek radio and television authority reported that firefighters fought a fierce battle against the flames throughout the night, noting that reinforcements were received from the mainland.
