اغتالت إسرائيل اليوم (الخميس)، مدير شرطة محافظة غزة العميد جمال أبو كميل، عبر استهداف مركبته على شارع الرشيد.
وأوضح مصدر طبي فلسطيني أن القصف استهدف السيارة بشكل مباشر في حي الشيخ عجلين بمدينة غزة، ما أدى إلى مقتل أبو كميل وإصابة آخرين بجروح متفاوتة نُقلوا على إثرها إلى المستشفى لتلقي العلاج. جاء ذلك بالتزامن مع غارات إسرائيلية أخرى استهدفت حي الأمل غربي مدينة خان يونس، مما أدى إلى مقتل فلسطيني وإصابة آخرين، ليرتفع بذلك عدد قتلى الغارات منذ الفجر إلى قتيلين على الأقل.
يأتي ذلك رغم ادعاءات في وسائل إعلام إسرائيلية بـ«التزام» إسرائيل ميدانياً بتنفيذ خطة النقاط الـ15 التي أقرها مجلس السلام ووافقت عليها حركة المقاومة الإسلامية (حماس)، بينما أعلن رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو (الأحد) الماضي رفضه لها.
من جهة أخرى، دفع الجيش الإسرائيلي اليوم، بقوات إضافية إلى بلدة قصرة في الضفة الغربية المحتلة، حيث حاصر مستوطنون عائلتين فلسطينيتين لإجبارهما على التهجير قسراً.
وأغلق مستوطنون إسرائيليون الطريق المؤدي إلى ثلاثة منازل في بلدة قصرة الفلسطينية، ونصبوا خيمة في الساحات الأمامية للمنازل، رافضين السماح لأي شخص بالدخول أو الخروج، كما قطعوا الكهرباء والمياه عن تلك المنازل.
وقالت الأمم المتحدة في بيان، إن نحو 15 فلسطينياً، بينهم طفلان، محاصرون داخل منازلهم في حالة من الرعب، وغير قادرين على تلبية احتياجاتهم الأساسية، ودون مياه أو كهرباء.
Israel assassinated today (Thursday) the director of the Gaza Governorate Police, Brigadier General Jamal Abu Kmeil, by targeting his vehicle on Al-Rasheed Street.
A Palestinian medical source clarified that the shelling directly targeted the car in the Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood of Gaza City, resulting in the death of Abu Kmeil and injuring others who were taken to the hospital for treatment. This occurred simultaneously with other Israeli airstrikes that targeted the Al-Amal neighborhood west of Khan Younis, leading to the death of one Palestinian and injuries to others, raising the death toll from the airstrikes since dawn to at least two.
This comes despite claims in Israeli media of Israel's "commitment" on the ground to implement the 15-point plan approved by the Peace Council and agreed upon by the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced last Sunday his rejection of it.
On another note, the Israeli army today deployed additional forces to the town of Qusra in the occupied West Bank, where settlers besieged two Palestinian families to force them into displacement.
Israeli settlers blocked the road leading to three houses in the Palestinian town of Qusra and set up a tent in the front yards of the houses, refusing to allow anyone to enter or exit, and they cut off electricity and water to those homes.
The United Nations stated in a statement that about 15 Palestinians, including two children, are besieged inside their homes in a state of terror, unable to meet their basic needs, and without water or electricity.
