أعلنت وزارة الدفاع التركية، اليوم (الأربعاء)، تحطم مقاتلة عسكرية من طراز «F-16» خلال رحلة تدريبية في إقليم يلوا شمال غربي البلاد. وأوضحت الوزارة أن الطيار قفز بالمظلة ونجا من الحادثة.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء التركية الأناضول عن بيان الوزارة تأكيدها أن الحادثة عرضية، وأنها وقعت أثناء تنفيذ طلعة تدريبية. وقال البيان: «تحطمت مقاتلة من طراز «F-16» تابعة لقواتنا الجوية جراء حادثة عرضية أثناء تنفيذها رحلة تدريبية في ولاية يالوفا، فيما تمكن قائد الطائرة من النجاة عقب قفزه بالمظلة»، مشيرة إلى أن أسباب الحادثة ستتحدد عقب إتمام تحقيقات مفصلة ستجرى في موقعها.
وأظهرت مقاطع فيديو نشرتها وسائل إعلام محلية عموداً من الدخان الأسود يتصاعد من أحد الحقول، بعد تحطم الطائرة. وتعد مقاتلات «F-16» العمود الفقري للقوات الجوية التركية، وتستخدمها أنقرة في مهام التدريب والعمليات الجوية منذ عقود.
وتمتلك تركيا أحد أكبر أساطيل هذه المقاتلات خارج الولايات المتحدة، وقد خضعت أعداد كبيرة منها لبرامج تحديث وتمديد للعمر التشغيلي.
وشهدت القوات الجوية التركية خلال السنوات الماضية عدداً من حوادث تحطم مقاتلات «F-16» أثناء طلعات تدريبية أو عملياتية، فيما راوحت أسباب الحوادث السابقة بين أعطال فنية وحوادث مرتبطة بظروف الطيران، مع تحديد الأسباب النهائية في كل حادثة عقب التحقيقات الرسمية.
وتأتي حادثة المقاتلة في وقت تواصل فيه القوات الجوية التركية تنفيذ طلعات تدريبية مكثفة للحفاظ على جاهزية طياريها وأسطولها الجوي.
The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced today (Wednesday) the crash of a military fighter jet of the type "F-16" during a training flight in the Yalova region in the northwest of the country. The ministry clarified that the pilot ejected with a parachute and survived the incident.
The Turkish Anadolu Agency reported the ministry's statement confirming that the incident was accidental and occurred during a training sortie. The statement said: "An F-16 fighter jet belonging to our air force crashed due to an accidental incident while conducting a training flight in Yalova province, while the pilot managed to survive after ejecting with a parachute," noting that the causes of the incident will be determined after completing detailed investigations that will be conducted at the site.
Videos published by local media showed a column of black smoke rising from one of the fields after the plane crashed. The "F-16" fighters are the backbone of the Turkish air force, and Ankara has been using them for training and air operations for decades.
Turkey possesses one of the largest fleets of these fighters outside the United States, and a large number of them have undergone modernization and operational lifespan extension programs.
In recent years, the Turkish air force has witnessed several incidents of "F-16" fighter crashes during training or operational sorties, with the causes of previous incidents ranging from technical malfunctions to accidents related to flight conditions, with final causes determined in each incident following official investigations.
The fighter jet incident comes at a time when the Turkish air force continues to conduct intensive training sorties to maintain the readiness of its pilots and air fleet.
