أكدت وزيرة الخارجية وشؤون المغتربين اليمنيين الدكتورة أفراح الزوبة اليوم (الإثنين)، أن الخليج سيظل العمق الإستراتيجي لليمن، وأن روابط الأخوّة والجوار والمصالح المشتركة تمثل أساساً لشراكة راسخة تخدم أمن المنطقة واستقرارها، خلال زيارتها إلى مقر مجلس التعاون الخليجي ولقائها الأمين العام جاسم البديوي.
وأعربت الزوبة في تدوينات على حسابها في «إكس» عن بالغ تقديرها للدعم الخليجي المتواصل لليمن، سياسياً وإنسانياً وتنموياً واقتصادياً، وما يمثله من ركيزة مهمة لتعزيز الاستقرار وبناء مستقبل أفضل.

بدوره، هنأ الأمين العام للمجلس البديوي الوزيرة بمناسبة توليها حقيبة وزارة الخارجية في اليمن، متمنياً لها التوفيق والنجاح في أداء مهامها.
وناقش البديوي مع الزوبة العلاقات الأخوية الراسخة بين مجلس التعاون واليمن، ومستجدات الأوضاع في البلاد، والجهود المبذولة لتعزيز الأمن والاستقرار ودعم مسارات السلام والتنمية.
وأكد الأمين العام، على موقف مجلس التعاون الثابت والداعم لكل ما من شأنه تحقيق الأمن والاستقرار في اليمن، واستمرار دعم المجلس لكافة الجهود الإنسانية والإغاثية الرامية إلى التخفيف من معاناة الشعب اليمني، بالتنسيق مع الشركاء الإقليميين والدوليين.
من جهة أخرى، طالب وزير الإعلام اليمني معمر الإرياني، المجتمع الدولي بعدم الانخداع بحالة التهدئة المؤقتة في بلاده، موضحاً أن المعلومات الدقيقة والمؤكدة بشأن عمل مليشيا الحوثي على إنشاء آلية منظمة لفرض الإتاوات على السفن التجارية، تؤكد أن ما يجري لا يمثل تهديداً عابراً، وإنما مشروع متكامل يهدف إلى تحويل البحر الأحمر وباب المندب إلى مصدر دائم لتمويل المجهود الحربي والأنشطة الإرهابية للمليشيا، وأداة لابتزاز المجتمع الدولي وتهديد المصالح الدولية.
وأشار الإرياني إلى أن حماية باب المندب لا يمكن أن تتحقق من خلال الدوريات البحرية وحدها أو الاكتفاء باحتواء التهديدات بعد وقوعها، وإنما تستوجب معالجة جذور الخطر، عبر دعم الحكومة اليمنية لفرض سيادتها الكاملة على جميع أراضيها وسواحلها وموانئها، باعتبار ذلك الضمانة الحقيقية لأمن الممرات البحرية الدولية.
وشدد الإرياني على أنه لا يمكن ضمان أمن البحر الأحمر في ظل استمرار سيطرة مليشيا الحوثي على أجزاء من الساحل اليمني، ومواصلتها تكديس الصواريخ والطائرات المسيّرة، واستخدام الأراضي اليمنية منصة لتهديد دول الجوار والمصالح الدولية.
ولفت الإرياني إلى أن كل تأخير في اتخاذ قرار حازم لمواجهة هذا الخطر يرفع كلفة المواجهة مستقبلاً، ويمنح مليشيات الحوثي والحرس الثوري الإيراني مزيداً من الوقت لإعادة الترتيب والتموضع، واستقدام الأسلحة والتقنيات، وتعزيز القدرات الصاروخية والطائرات المسيّرة، وتوسيع نطاق التهديد الذي يستهدف الملاحة الدولية وأمن المنطقة.
وجدد الإرياني التأكيد على أن بسط سيادة الدولة اليمنية على كامل التراب الوطني لم يعد مطلباً وطنياً فحسب، بل أصبح ضرورة إستراتيجية لحماية الأمن الإقليمي، وضمان حرية الملاحة والتجارة الدولية.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of Yemen, Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba, confirmed today (Monday) that the Gulf will remain the strategic depth of Yemen, and that the bonds of brotherhood, neighborhood, and common interests represent the foundation for a solid partnership that serves the security and stability of the region, during her visit to the headquarters of the Gulf Cooperation Council and her meeting with Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi.
Al-Zouba expressed her deep appreciation for the ongoing Gulf support for Yemen, politically, humanitarianly, developmentally, and economically, and what it represents as an important pillar for enhancing stability and building a better future, in posts on her account on "X".

For his part, the Secretary-General of the Council, Al-Budaiwi, congratulated the minister on the occasion of her assuming the position of Minister of Foreign Affairs in Yemen, wishing her success and achievement in her duties.
Al-Budaiwi discussed with Al-Zouba the solid brotherly relations between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Yemen, the latest developments in the country, and the efforts made to enhance security and stability and support paths for peace and development.
The Secretary-General affirmed the Council's firm position in support of everything that aims to achieve security and stability in Yemen, and the continued support of the Council for all humanitarian and relief efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, in coordination with regional and international partners.
On another note, Yemeni Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani urged the international community not to be deceived by the temporary calm in his country, explaining that accurate and confirmed information regarding the Houthi militia's work to establish an organized mechanism to impose levies on commercial ships confirms that what is happening does not represent a transient threat, but rather a comprehensive project aimed at turning the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab into a permanent source of funding for the militia's war efforts and terrorist activities, and a tool for extorting the international community and threatening international interests.
Al-Eryani pointed out that protecting Bab al-Mandab cannot be achieved through naval patrols alone or by merely containing threats after they occur, but rather requires addressing the root causes of the danger by supporting the Yemeni government to impose its full sovereignty over all its territories, shores, and ports, as this is the true guarantee for the security of international maritime routes.
Al-Eryani emphasized that security in the Red Sea cannot be guaranteed as long as the Houthi militia continues to control parts of the Yemeni coast, continues to stockpile missiles and drones, and uses Yemeni territory as a platform to threaten neighboring countries and international interests.
He noted that any delay in making a decisive decision to confront this danger raises the cost of confrontation in the future, giving the Houthi militias and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard more time to reorganize and reposition, acquire weapons and technologies, enhance missile and drone capabilities, and expand the scope of the threat targeting international navigation and regional security.
Al-Eryani reiterated that asserting the sovereignty of the Yemeni state over all national territory is no longer just a national demand, but has become a strategic necessity to protect regional security and ensure freedom of navigation and international trade.
