شددت مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية في الاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس على أن نجاح الاتفاق على خطة غزة يتطلب الالتزام الكامل من جميع الأطراف. وأكدت أن خطة نزع سلاح حركة حماس، إذا نُفذت بالكامل، ستمثل خطوة بناءة نحو تحقيق السلام.
ورحبت كالاس في منشور عبر منصة «إكس»، اليوم (الجمعة)، بالاتفاق الذي جرى التوصل إليه بوساطة الولايات المتحدة، وبدعم من مصر وقطر وتركيا، إلى جانب المبعوث الدولي نيكولاي ملادينوف. ولفتت إلى أن التحقق من التزام حماس ببنود الاتفاق سيكون «تحدياً كبيراً»، وأن على إسرائيل في نهاية المطاف الانسحاب من قطاع غزة.
وأكدت أن الاتحاد الأوروبي مستعد لدعم الخطوات القادمة، بما في ذلك دخول اللجنة الوطنية لإدارة غزة وقوة الاستقرار الدولية، لافتة إلى أن بعثتي الاتحاد الأوروبي على الأرض تؤديان دوراً مهماً في دعم جهود بناء الدولة الفلسطينية.
وأشارت كالاس إلى أن الاتحاد الأوروبي يعد أكبر مانح للمساعدات الإنسانية إلى غزة، موضحة أنه تعهد خلال يوليو الماضي بتقديم 900 مليون يورو لتمويل مشاريع تهدف إلى دعم تعافي القطاع من آثار الحرب.
من جانبه، رفض وزير الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي المتطرف إيتمار بن غفير «خريطة الطريق» التي نشرها مجلس السلام في غزة، الجمعة، معتبراً أنها «غير مقبولة بالنسبة لإسرائيل».
وقال «بن غفير»، في تعليق نشره عبر حسابه على منصة «إكس»، إنه بعد أحداث السابع من أكتوبر «أصبح كل عنصر في حركة حماس هدفاً مشروعاً»، مضيفاً أن الالتزام بوقف استهداف عناصر حماس من شأنه أن يمنح الحركة فرصة لإعادة تنظيم صفوفها، بحسب تعبيره. وأضاف: «يجب أن تستمر عمليات الاغتيال الموجهة في قطاع غزة، وأن يُشجع السكان على الهجرة، وأن تحقق إسرائيل النصر»، حسب قوله.
The European Union's foreign policy chief, Kaia Kalas, emphasized that the success of the agreement on the Gaza plan requires full commitment from all parties. She confirmed that the disarmament plan for Hamas, if fully implemented, would represent a constructive step towards achieving peace.
Kalas welcomed the agreement reached with the mediation of the United States, and with support from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, along with the international envoy Nikolai Mladenov, in a post on the "X" platform today (Friday). She pointed out that verifying Hamas's commitment to the terms of the agreement will be a "major challenge," and that Israel ultimately needs to withdraw from the Gaza Strip.
She affirmed that the European Union is ready to support the next steps, including the entry of the National Committee for Gaza Management and the international stabilization force, noting that the EU missions on the ground play an important role in supporting efforts to build the Palestinian state.
Kalas indicated that the European Union is the largest donor of humanitarian aid to Gaza, explaining that it pledged 900 million euros last July to fund projects aimed at supporting the recovery of the sector from the effects of the war.
For his part, the extremist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir rejected the "roadmap" published by the Gaza Peace Council on Friday, considering it "unacceptable for Israel."
Ben Gvir stated in a comment posted on his account on the "X" platform that after the events of October 7, "every member of Hamas has become a legitimate target," adding that a commitment to cease targeting Hamas members would give the movement a chance to reorganize, as he put it. He added: "Targeted assassinations in the Gaza Strip must continue, and the population should be encouraged to emigrate, and Israel must achieve victory," according to his statement.
