شدد الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي على أن أمن الأردن يعد جزءاً لا يتجزأ من الأمن القومي المصري، مؤكداً رفض مصر القاطع وإدانتها للاعتداءات الإيرانية الآثمة التي استهدفت الأردن وعدداً من الدول الشقيقة.
وخلال اتصال هاتفي مع العاهل الأردني الملك عبدالله الثاني ابن الحسين، أكد السيسي مساندة بلاده الكاملة لكافة الإجراءات التي تتخذها القيادة الأردنية لحماية أمن وسيادة المملكة وصون مقدرات شعبها، مشيراً إلى أهمية تضافر الجهود الدولية والإقليمية للتوصل إلى حلول سياسية للأزمة القائمة بالمنطقة، بما يقود إلى خفض التصعيد واستعادة الأمن والاستقرار، وتجنب التداعيات الوخيمة لاستمرار التوتر الراهن، مؤكداً تضامن مصر مع الأردن في مواجهة كافة أشكال الإرهاب والتطرف.
وقال متحدث الرئاسة المصرية السفير محمد الشناوي، إن العاهل الأردني أعرب عن تقديره البالغ لموقف مصر الداعم للأردن في مواجهة التحديات، مؤكداً ما يجمع البلدين من تاريخ مشترك وعلاقات وثيقة في مختلف المجالات، فضلاً عن الروابط العميقة بين الشعبين.
كما ثمّن رؤية السيسي القائمة على إعلاء مبادئ القانون الدولي وحسن الجوار، والعمل على التوصل إلى تسوية سلمية وشاملة للتوتر الراهن.
وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي أن الزعيمين بحثا كذلك التطورات المرتبطة بالقضية الفلسطينية، حيث أكدا ضرورة التوصل إلى حل عادل وشامل للقضية وفقاً لمقررات الشرعية الدولية وتطبيقاً لحل الدولتين.
كما جددا رفضهما القاطع للتصعيد الإسرائيلي الخطير في الضفة الغربية، محذرين من خطورة ممارسات العناصر اليمينية المتطرفة في الضفة الغربية والقدس الشرقية.
وفي هذا السياق، أعرب الرئيس المصري عن دعم بلاده الثابت للوصاية الهاشمية التاريخية على المقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية في القدس، مشدداً على اعتزاز مصر بالتنسيق المستمر والمؤسسي مع المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، والحرص على تعزيزه لمواجهة التحديات المشتركة الراهنة.
The Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized that Jordan's security is an integral part of Egypt's national security, affirming Egypt's firm rejection and condemnation of the Iranian attacks that targeted Jordan and several brotherly countries.
During a phone call with the Jordanian monarch King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, El-Sisi confirmed his country's full support for all measures taken by the Jordanian leadership to protect the security and sovereignty of the kingdom and to safeguard the resources of its people, pointing to the importance of international and regional efforts to reach political solutions to the ongoing crisis in the region, which would lead to de-escalation and the restoration of security and stability, and to avoid the dire consequences of the current tensions, reaffirming Egypt's solidarity with Jordan in facing all forms of terrorism and extremism.
The Egyptian presidential spokesperson, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, stated that the Jordanian monarch expressed his deep appreciation for Egypt's supportive stance towards Jordan in facing challenges, confirming the shared history and close relations between the two countries in various fields, as well as the deep ties between their peoples.
He also praised El-Sisi's vision based on upholding the principles of international law and good neighborliness, and working towards a peaceful and comprehensive settlement of the current tensions.
The official spokesperson added that the two leaders also discussed developments related to the Palestinian issue, where they affirmed the necessity of reaching a just and comprehensive solution to the issue in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy and the implementation of the two-state solution.
They also reiterated their firm rejection of the dangerous Israeli escalation in the West Bank, warning of the dangers posed by the practices of extremist right-wing elements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
In this context, the Egyptian president expressed his country's steadfast support for the historical Hashemite guardianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, emphasizing Egypt's pride in the ongoing and institutional coordination with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the commitment to enhance it to face the current common challenges.
