أعلنت القوات المسلحة الأردنية أن منظومات الدفاع الجوي وسلاح الجو الملكي تعاملت خلال الساعات الـ24 الماضية مع 7 صواريخ و6 طائرات مسيّرة إيرانية استهدفت أراضي المملكة، مؤكدة عدم تسجيل أي إصابات بشرية أو خسائر مادية جراء عمليات الاعتراض.
وقال مصدر عسكري مسؤول في القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة الأردنية-الجيش العربي، إن الدفاعات الجوية اعترضت وأسقطت الصواريخ والطائرات المسيّرة خلال ساعات صباح اليوم (الجمعة)، وأن فرق سلاح الهندسة الملكي تحركت إلى مواقع سقوط الشظايا وتعاملت معها وفق الإجراءات الفنية والأمنية المعمول بها.
وأكد المصدر أن القوات المسلحة تواصل مراقبة الأجواء الأردنية، وتحافظ على أعلى درجات الجاهزية العملياتية للتعامل مع أي تهديد يستهدف أمن المملكة وسلامة مواطنيها، وفق قواعد الاشتباك المعمول بها.
ودعت القيادة العامة المواطنين إلى عدم الاقتراب من مواقع سقوط الأجسام أو الحطام، والإبلاغ عنها فوراً، مع ضرورة استقاء المعلومات من المصادر الرسمية وعدم تداول الشائعات أو الأخبار غير الموثوقة.
وتزامن الإعلان الأردني مع إعلان الجيش الإيراني استهداف قاعدة الشيخ عيسى في البحرين وقاعدة الأزرق في الأردن بطائرات مسيّرة، في تطور يأتي ضمن تصعيد إقليمي متواصل بين إيران والولايات المتحدة، امتدت تداعياته إلى عدد من دول المنطقة.
وكان الأردن قد أعلن في وقت سابق من يوليو اعتراض وإسقاط 8 صواريخ أُطلقت من إيران باتجاه أراضيه، مؤكداً حينها عدم وقوع إصابات بشرية أو أضرار مادية، في مؤشر على استمرار تعرض المجال الجوي الأردني لتهديدات مرتبطة بالصراع الإقليمي.
وتأتي التطورات الأخيرة في ظل تصاعد المواجهة العسكرية بين إيران والولايات المتحدة، وما ترتب عليها من اتساع نطاق التوتر ليشمل المجال الجوي لدول عربية في المنطقة، إذ أكد الأردن في مناسبات عدة أنه لن يسمح بانتهاك أجوائه أو استخدام أراضيه في أعمال تهدد أمنه، مع تأكيده حقه في حماية سيادته وسلامة أراضيه.
The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that the air defense systems and the Royal Jordanian Air Force dealt with 7 missiles and 6 Iranian drones targeting the Kingdom's territory during the past 24 hours, confirming that there were no recorded human injuries or material losses as a result of the interception operations.
A military source responsible in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army stated that the air defenses intercepted and shot down the missiles and drones during the morning hours of today (Friday), and that teams from the Royal Engineering Corps moved to the sites of the debris and dealt with them according to the technical and security procedures in place.
The source confirmed that the armed forces continue to monitor Jordanian airspace and maintain the highest levels of operational readiness to deal with any threat targeting the Kingdom's security and the safety of its citizens, in accordance with the rules of engagement in effect.
The General Command urged citizens not to approach the sites of fallen objects or debris and to report them immediately, emphasizing the importance of obtaining information from official sources and not circulating rumors or unreliable news.
The Jordanian announcement coincided with the Iranian military's announcement of targeting the Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain and the Al-Azraq base in Jordan with drones, in a development that comes amid ongoing regional escalation between Iran and the United States, the repercussions of which have extended to several countries in the region.
Jordan had previously announced in early July the interception and downing of 8 missiles launched from Iran towards its territory, confirming at the time that there were no human injuries or material damages, indicating the continued threats to Jordanian airspace related to the regional conflict.
The recent developments come amid escalating military confrontation between Iran and the United States, which has led to an expansion of tensions to include the airspace of Arab countries in the region, as Jordan has confirmed on several occasions that it will not allow violations of its airspace or the use of its territory in actions that threaten its security, while affirming its right to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
