توعد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب (الثلاثاء) الحوثي بالإجراءات اللازمة إذا أغلق البحر الأحمر.
وأكد ترمب خلال لقائه الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون في البيت الأبيض، أنه لن يسمح للحوثيين بإغلاق البحر الأحمر، مشدداً على أن واشنطن ستتخذ الإجراءات اللازمة إذا أقدم الحوثيون على ذلك. وأشار إلى أن الحصار على الموانئ الإيرانية مستمر، موضحاً أن الإيرانيين يتسولون الاتفاق لكننا غير مهتمين باللقاء معهم رغم أنهم يريدون الاجتماع معنا بشدة. وجدد تأكيده على أن إيران لن تحصل على سلاح نووي، مهدداً بضرب أي منشأة إيرانية سيتم فيها صناعة سلاح نووي. ووصف ترمب قادة إيران بالأشرار، قائلاً: «قادة إيران أشرار بسبب قتلهم للمتظاهرين بجنون»، مبيناً أن واشنطن لم تنتهِ بعد من إيران، ولم ترَ شيئاً بعد، وسنضرب منطقة جبل الفأس قريباً جداً. واعتبر الرئيس الأمريكي أن إعادة إعمار إيران ستحتاج من 20 إلى 25 عاماً. وفيما يتعلق بالاتفاق بين إسرائيل ولبنان، قال ترمب: الاتفاق الإطاري بين لبنان وإسرائيل كان جيداً جداً، موضحاً أن هناك عملية لإعادة انتشار الجيش اللبناني في الجنوب. ولفت إلى أن لبنان دولة مهمة جداً والعلاقة معها جيدة، مؤكداً أن الرئيس اللبناني جوزيف عون يمكن أن يكون من بين أفضل القادة. وأضاف: «سأتحدث مع حزب الله إذا أراد الرئيس اللبناني ذلك»، مؤكداً أن الجيش اللبناني هو الشريان الأساسي للاستقرار والأمن وأمريكا تعلم أنه يقوم بعمل جيد جداً. وأشار إلى أن رئيس البرلمان يريد أن يرى نهاية للحرب.

He reiterated that Iran will not obtain nuclear weapons, threatening to strike any Iranian facility where nuclear weapons are produced. Trump described Iranian leaders as evil, saying, "Iranian leaders are evil for their insane killing of protesters," indicating that Washington has not yet finished with Iran, and has not seen anything yet, and we will strike the Mount of the Axe area very soon. The U.S. president considered that rebuilding Iran will take 20 to 25 years. Regarding the agreement between Israel and Lebanon, Trump said: the framework agreement between Lebanon and Israel was very good, explaining that there is a process for the redeployment of the Lebanese army in the south. He noted that Lebanon is a very important country and the relationship with it is good, confirming that Lebanese President Joseph Aoun could be among the best leaders. He added: "I will talk to Hezbollah if the Lebanese president wants that," affirming that the Lebanese army is the main artery for stability and security, and America knows it is doing a very good job. He pointed out that the Speaker of Parliament wants to see an end to the war.
