جدد رئيس مجلس القيادة الرئاسي اليمني الدكتور رشاد العليمي تأكيده أن أمن البحر الأحمر مسؤولية يمنية ودولية مشتركة، محذراً من أن أنشطة جماعة الحوثي تمثل تهديداً يتجاوز اليمن ليطال أمن واستقرار الدول المشاطئة للبحر الأحمر والدول الآسيوية المرتبطة بهذا الممر البحري الحيوي، وفي مقدمتها الهند.
وأكد العليمي، خلال استقباله سفير الهند لدى اليمن سهيل إعجاز خان، بمناسبة انتهاء فترة عمله، (الثلاثاء)، أهمية مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور بين البلدين، خصوصاً في القضايا المتعلقة بحماية الممرات المائية واحترام سيادة الدول والتصدي للتهديدات العابرة للحدود. وأشاد بالمواقف الهندية الداعمة لاستقرار اليمن ووحدته وسيادته وسلامة أراضيه.
وأشار إلى أن محاولات الحوثيين جر اليمن إلى دائرة صراع أوسع، خدمة لأجندة النظام الإيراني، لا تمثل تهديداً لليمن فحسب، بل تمتد تداعياتها إلى أمن واستقرار الدول المطلة على البحر الأحمر والدول الآسيوية المرتبطة بهذا الممر البحري.
وشدد على أن المجتمع الدولي مطالب بالنظر إلى الحوثيين باعتبارهم جزءاً من شبكة تهديدات إقليمية متداخلة، في ظل ما توثقه التقارير من تنسيق متزايد مع تنظيمات إرهابية وجماعات مسلحة في القرن الأفريقي، وضلوعهم في تهريب الأسلحة والتقنيات العسكرية، وتوظيف تلك الجماعات لتهديد أمن الملاحة الدولية وإمدادات الغذاء والسلع الأساسية، ودعم أنشطة القرصنة والجريمة العابرة للحدود.
وقال رئيس مجلس القيادة إن مواجهة هذه المخاطر المتنامية تستدعي تعزيز التعاون الدولي على مختلف المستويات.
في غضون ذلك، دانت الحكومة اليمنية في رسالة إلى منظمة الطيران المدني الدولي (الإيكاو) اختراق طائرة إيرانية للمجال الجوي اليمني، وهبوطها دون الحصول على تصريح من الحكومة الشرعية.
وشدد رئيس الوزراء اليمني شائع محسن الزنداني، في رسالة خطية إلى الأمين العام للمنظمة خوان كارلوس سالازار، ورئيس مجلس المنظمة توشيوكي أونوما، على أن هذه الخطوة شكلت انتهاكاً صارخاً لسيادة الجمهورية اليمنية ومخالفة للقانون الدولي واتفاقية شيكاغو المنظمة للطيران المدني الدولي.
وسلّم سفير الجمهورية اليمنية لدى كندا جمال السلال الرسالة، خلال لقاء عُقد في مقر المنظمة بمدينة مونتريال الكندية.
The President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, reaffirmed that the security of the Red Sea is a shared Yemeni and international responsibility, warning that the activities of the Houthi group pose a threat that extends beyond Yemen, affecting the security and stability of the countries bordering the Red Sea and the Asian countries linked to this vital maritime corridor, foremost among them India.
Al-Alimi, during his reception of the Indian Ambassador to Yemen, Suhail Ijaz Khan, on the occasion of the end of his term (Tuesday), emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two countries, especially on issues related to the protection of maritime routes, respecting the sovereignty of nations, and addressing cross-border threats. He praised the Indian positions supporting the stability, unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Yemen.
He pointed out that the attempts by the Houthis to drag Yemen into a broader conflict, serving the agenda of the Iranian regime, not only represent a threat to Yemen but also extend their repercussions to the security and stability of the countries overlooking the Red Sea and the Asian countries linked to this maritime corridor.
He stressed that the international community is required to view the Houthis as part of a network of interconnected regional threats, in light of what reports document regarding increasing coordination with terrorist organizations and armed groups in the Horn of Africa, their involvement in arms smuggling and military technology, and the use of these groups to threaten the security of international navigation and supplies of food and essential goods, as well as supporting piracy and cross-border crime.
The President of the Leadership Council stated that confronting these growing risks necessitates enhancing international cooperation at various levels.
Meanwhile, the Yemeni government condemned, in a message to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the violation of Yemeni airspace by an Iranian aircraft, which landed without obtaining permission from the legitimate government.
The Yemeni Prime Minister, Shaea Mohsen Al-Zandani, in a written message to the Secretary-General of the organization, Juan Carlos Salazar, and the Chairman of the organization, Toshiyuki Onuma, stressed that this step constituted a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Yemen and a violation of international law and the Chicago Convention governing international civil aviation.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Canada, Jamal Al-Sallal, delivered the message during a meeting held at the organization's headquarters in Montreal, Canada.
