دحضت القيادة المركزية الأمريكية (CENTCOM) مزاعم إيرانية حول استهداف قاعدة التنف في جنوب شرقي سورية، مؤكدة أنه لم يُقتل أو يُؤسر أي جندي أمريكي في المنطقة.
وأكدت القيادة المركزية، في بيان عبر منصة «إكس»، اليوم (الجمعة)، أن الادعاءات التي تحدثت عن استهداف حامية التنف وأسر أو قتل جنود أمريكيين «غير صحيحة»، مضيفة: «لم يُقتل أو يُؤسر أي جندي أمريكي في المنطقة أخيراً».
وكان الحرس الثوري الإيراني ادعى استهداف ما وصفه بـ«مركز قيادة عمليات» تابع للقوات الأمريكية في منطقة التنف. ونفى مصدر عسكري سوري لوكالة «فرانس برس»، تعرض منطقة التنف لأي قصف إيراني، قائلاً: «ننفي أي قصف إيراني باتجاه منطقة التنف».
وأكد مصدر عسكري سوري آخر لوكالة الأنباء الألمانية (د ب أ)، أن منطقة التنف لم تتعرض لأي قصف صاروخي، موضحاً أن قوات حرس الحدود السورية تنتشر في الموقع منذ انسحاب القوات الأمريكية منه في فبراير الماضي، وانتقالها إلى البرج 22 داخل الأراضي الأردنية.
وأشار إلى أن المنطقة المحيطة بالتنف أصبحت صحراوية وخالية من السكان بعد مغادرة قاطني مخيم الركبان، وأفاد بأن الموقع يضم حالياً معبر التنف الحدودي وبعض المباني الإدارية.
ولم تقدم إيران حتى الآن أدلة تدعم إعلانها بشأن استهداف الموقع، فيما تتعارض تصريحاتها مع النفي الصادر عن كل من القيادة المركزية الأمريكية والمصادر العسكرية السورية.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has refuted Iranian claims regarding an attack on the Tanf base in southeastern Syria, confirming that no American soldiers have been killed or captured in the area.
In a statement via the platform "X" today (Friday), CENTCOM asserted that the allegations about an attack on the Tanf garrison and the capture or killing of American soldiers are "incorrect," adding: "No American soldier has been killed or captured in the area recently."
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard claimed to have targeted what it described as a "command operations center" belonging to U.S. forces in the Tanf area. A Syrian military source denied to Agence France-Presse that the Tanf area had been subjected to any Iranian shelling, stating: "We deny any Iranian shelling towards the Tanf area."
Another Syrian military source confirmed to the German news agency (dpa) that the Tanf area has not been subjected to any missile attacks, explaining that Syrian border guard forces have been stationed at the site since the withdrawal of U.S. forces in February, when they moved to Tower 22 inside Jordanian territory.
He pointed out that the area surrounding Tanf has become desert-like and uninhabited after the departure of residents from the Rukban camp, noting that the site currently includes the Tanf border crossing and some administrative buildings.
Iran has not yet provided any evidence to support its announcement regarding the targeting of the site, while its statements contradict the denials issued by both U.S. Central Command and Syrian military sources.
