بالتزامن مع حملة مكافحة الفساد داخل المؤسسة العسكرية، منحت الصين أعلى رتبة عسكرية لاثنين من كبار ضباط جيش التحرير الشعبي، في مؤشر إلى استمرار إعادة تشكيل القيادة العسكرية وتعزيز الصف الأول من قادة الجيش.
وجلس الجنرالان الصينيان؛ وهما تشانج شوجوانج، ووانج جانج، للمرة الأولى إلى جانب كبار ضباط جيش التحرير الشعبي الصيني خلال مراسم رفيعة المستوى، اليوم الجمعة، في «خطوة تُعد مؤشراً واضحاً على أنهما أصبحا في طليعة المرشحين لتولي قيادة أكبر جيش نظامي في العالم»، وفق نقلت صحيفة «ساوث تشاينا مورنينج بوست».
وشهد الحفل، الذي حضره الرئيس الصيني شي جين بينج وأعضاء اللجنة الدائمة للمكتب السياسي، جلوس الجنرالين إلى جانب وزير الدفاع دونج جون، والجنرال هان شنجيان، قائد قيادة المسرح المركزي، وكلاهما يحمل رتبة فريق أول (جنرال).
وبصفته رئيساً للجنة العسكرية المركزية، سلّم شي جين بينج شهادات الترقية إلى رتبة جنرال للمسؤولين العسكريين.
وتشانج شوجوانج، هو أمين لجنة الانضباط التابعة للجنة العسكرية المركزية ومدير لجنة الإشراف التابعة لها. ويشغل وانج جانج منصب قائد القوات الجوية لجيش التحرير الشعبي الصيني.
وترأس المراسم تشانج شنجمين، نائب رئيس اللجنة العسكرية المركزية، الذي أعلن أوامر الترقية الموقعة من شي جين بينج.وهنأ شي الضابطين على ترقيتهما، علماً بأن رتبة جنرال هي أعلى رتبة عسكرية للضباط العاملين في الصين.
وجلس نائب رئيس هيئة الأركان المشتركة التابعة للجنة العسكرية المركزية الفريق تشو تشوانشنج، في الصف نفسه، إلا أن موقع مقعده أظهر أنه يأتي في مرتبة أدنى من بقية الجنرالات.
وحضر الجنرال تشانج شنجمين، المسؤول عن حملة مكافحة الفساد داخل الجيش، والذي رُقي إلى منصب نائب رئيس اللجنة العسكرية المركزية في أكتوبر الماضي. وجلس بالقرب من شي جين بينج، متقدماً على الجنرالات الخمسة الآخرين، خلال الحفل الذي ضم كبار المسؤولين الحاليين والمتقاعدين من مختلف القطاعات.
وتخضع ترتيبات الجلوس في المناسبات الرسمية الكبرى في الصين لبروتوكولات صارمة، تُحدد عادة وفقاً للرتبة والأقدمية، حيث يعكس الاقتراب من المقاعد الأمامية مكانة أعلى داخل هرم القيادة العسكرية.
وأطاحت حملة مكافحة الفساد داخل الجيش بعشرات القادة العسكريين الكبار، بينهم أعضاء في المكتب السياسي للحزب الشيوعي. وخضع بعضهم لتحقيقات بتهم فساد، بينما اختفى آخرون من المشهد العام دون تقديم أي تفسير رسمي.
ومن بين الأعضاء السبعة للجنة العسكرية المركزية، الذين عُينوا خلال المؤتمر الوطني للحزب في عام 2022، لم يتبقَّ سوى اثنين: الرئيس شي جين بينج، ورئيس جهاز مكافحة الفساد في الجيش تشانج شنجمين.
In conjunction with the anti-corruption campaign within the military institution, China has granted the highest military rank to two senior officers of the People's Liberation Army, indicating the continued reshaping of military leadership and the strengthening of the first tier of army leaders.
The two Chinese generals; Chang Shuojiang and Wang Jiang, sat for the first time alongside senior officers of the People's Liberation Army during a high-level ceremony today, Friday, in a "step that is a clear indication that they have become frontrunners to lead the largest regular army in the world," according to the South China Morning Post.
The ceremony, attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping and members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau, saw the two generals seated alongside Defense Minister Dong Jun and General Han Shunjiang, commander of the Central Theater Command, both of whom hold the rank of General.
As the Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi Jinping presented promotion certificates to the rank of General to the military officials.
Chang Shuojiang is the Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission of the Central Military Commission and the Director of its Supervision Commission. Wang Jiang serves as the commander of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force.
The ceremony was presided over by Chang Shengmin, Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission, who announced the promotion orders signed by Xi Jinping. Xi congratulated the two officers on their promotions, noting that the rank of General is the highest military rank for active-duty officers in China.
Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Central Military Commission, General Zhu Chuancheng, sat in the same row, but his seating position indicated that he ranks lower than the other generals.
General Chang Shengmin, responsible for the anti-corruption campaign within the military, who was promoted to Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission last October, sat near Xi Jinping, ahead of the other five generals during the ceremony that included senior current and retired officials from various sectors.
Seating arrangements at major official events in China are subject to strict protocols, usually determined by rank and seniority, where proximity to the front seats reflects a higher status within the military leadership hierarchy.
The anti-corruption campaign within the military has ousted dozens of senior military leaders, including members of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party. Some have been subjected to investigations on corruption charges, while others have disappeared from the public eye without any official explanation.
Among the seven members of the Central Military Commission appointed during the party's national congress in 2022, only two remain: President Xi Jinping and the head of the military's anti-corruption agency, Chang Shengmin.
