اتهم وزير الخارجية البحريني الدكتور عبداللطيف الزياني، اليوم (الخميس)، إيران بشن هجمات متعمدة ومخطط لها مسبقاً على بلاده خلال الحرب الأخيرة، داعياً مجلس الأمن الدولي إلى اتخاذ موقف حازم إزاء الانتهاكات الإيرانية.
وقال الزياني إن البحرين تعرضت لعدوان إيراني باستخدام صواريخ باليستية وطائرات مسيّرة، مؤكداً أن الهجمات لم تكن عشوائية، بل استهدفت مناطق مدنية ذات كثافة سكانية ومنشآت حيوية، بينها مرافق ومحطات للمياه.
وأوضح أن إيران نفذت هذه الهجمات رغم توقيع مذكرة التفاهم الخاصة بوقف الحرب، مشيراً إلى أن بلاده تعرضت خلال النزاع لإطلاق أكثر من 200 صاروخ و600 طائرة مسيّرة باتجاه أراضيها.
وأضاف: «لا مبرر لاستهداف مناطق سكنية مأهولة أو مرافق حيوية»، مبيناً أن هذه الهجمات تمثل انتهاكاً للقانون الدولي.
وشدد الزياني على أن البحرين وثقت جميع الوقائع في تقرير مفصل قُدم إلى مجلس الأمن الدولي، داعياً المجلس إلى عدم الوقوف متفرجاً على الانتهاكات الإيرانية.
وطالب وزير الخارجية البحريني المجتمع الدولي بتحمل مسؤولياته في حماية الأمن والاستقرار الإقليميين، مؤكداً أن البحرين لا تزال تؤمن بأن الحوار والوسائل السلمية هما السبيل الأمثل لتسوية الأزمات.
كما شدد الزياني على دعم بلاده المستمر لجميع الجهود الرامية إلى تحقيق السلام وخفض التوتر في المنطقة.
The Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani accused Iran today (Thursday) of launching deliberate and pre-planned attacks on his country during the recent war, calling on the United Nations Security Council to take a firm stance regarding the Iranian violations.
Al-Zayani stated that Bahrain was subjected to Iranian aggression using ballistic missiles and drones, emphasizing that the attacks were not random but targeted densely populated civilian areas and vital facilities, including water facilities and stations.
He explained that Iran carried out these attacks despite signing the memorandum of understanding regarding the cessation of hostilities, noting that his country was subjected to the launch of more than 200 missiles and 600 drones towards its territory during the conflict.
He added, "There is no justification for targeting populated residential areas or vital facilities," indicating that these attacks represent a violation of international law.
Al-Zayani stressed that Bahrain has documented all incidents in a detailed report submitted to the United Nations Security Council, urging the council not to stand idly by regarding the Iranian violations.
The Bahraini Foreign Minister called on the international community to assume its responsibilities in protecting regional security and stability, affirming that Bahrain still believes that dialogue and peaceful means are the best way to resolve crises.
He also emphasized Bahrain's continued support for all efforts aimed at achieving peace and reducing tensions in the region.
