فيما تراجع الاهتمام الدولي بملف غزة، كشف مسؤولون إسرائيليون في شعبة الاستخبارات العسكرية وقيادة المنطقة الجنوبية أنهم يفضلون العودة للقتال في القطاع المنكوب، وسط معارضة أمريكية، وفق ما نقلت هيئة البث الإسرائيلية، اليوم (الإثنين).
ولفت المسؤولون إلى أن حركة حماس تستعد لحرب جديدة. وأفادوا بأن حماس تُنتج مئات العبوات الناسفة والصواريخ المضادة للدروع شهرياً، وتجنّد مقاتلين، وتعيد تأهيل البنية التحتية تحت الأرض في أنحاء قطاع غزة.
وأبلغ كبار المسؤولين رئيس الأركان الإسرائيلي إيال زامير، الأسبوع الماضي، بتحذير مفاده أن الجناح العسكري لحماس يستعد مجدداً لخوض حرب جديدة. ولفتوا إلى أن حماس تجند مقاتلين تراوح أعمارهم بين 18 و22 عاماً، وبدأت أخيراً بإجراء تدريبات لعناصر قوات النخبة التابعة لها، وفق قولهم.
وكانت مشاورات ولقاءات مكثفة جرت بين الفصائل الفلسطينية بينها حماس ووسطاء في القاهرة قبل نحو أسبوعين، من أجل تطبيق المرحلة الثانية من الخطة التي طرحها الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب حول قطاع غزة. وشددت الفصائل على ضرورة تنفيذ كامل المرحلة الأولى من الخطة التي تقضي بالانسحاب الإسرائيلي الكامل من القطاع قبل الانتقال إلى المرحلة الثانية.
ويقضي اتفاق وقف إطلاق النار الذي تم التوصل إليه برعاية أمريكية في أكتوبر 2025، بانسحاب القوات الإسرائيلية إلى ما يُعرف بـ«الخط الأصفر»، الذي منح إسرائيل السيطرة على نحو 53% من مساحة القطاع الفلسطيني المدمر.
إلا أن رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو أعلن أواخر شهر مايو الماضي، أنه وجه الجيش الإسرائيلي بتوسيع سيطرته على غزة لتصل إلى 70%.
As international interest in the Gaza issue wanes, Israeli officials in the military intelligence division and the southern command revealed that they prefer to return to fighting in the besieged territory, amid American opposition, according to what the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported today (Monday).
The officials pointed out that Hamas is preparing for a new war. They reported that Hamas produces hundreds of explosive devices and anti-tank missiles monthly, recruits fighters, and is rehabilitating underground infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip.
Senior officials informed Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir last week with a warning that Hamas's military wing is once again preparing to engage in a new war. They noted that Hamas is recruiting fighters aged between 18 and 22 and has recently begun training its elite forces, according to their statements.
Intensive consultations and meetings took place between Palestinian factions, including Hamas, and mediators in Cairo about two weeks ago, to implement the second phase of the plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Gaza. The factions emphasized the necessity of fully executing the first phase of the plan, which calls for a complete Israeli withdrawal from the territory before moving on to the second phase.
The ceasefire agreement reached under U.S. sponsorship in October 2025 stipulates the withdrawal of Israeli forces to what is known as the "yellow line," which granted Israel control over approximately 53% of the area of the devastated Palestinian territory.
However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced at the end of May that he had instructed the Israeli army to expand its control over Gaza to reach 70%.
