فيما بدأت الجلسة الثانية من مفاوضات اليوم الأول، كشفت وسائل إعلام إيرانية اليوم (الأحد) تقديم الوفد الإيراني المفاوض احتجاجاً إلى الوسطاء على تهديدات الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب. وذكرت وكالة «تسنيم» أن الوفد المفاوض الإيراني يعتبر تهديدات ترمب خرقاً لبنود مذكرة التفاهم، مبينة أن الوفد المفاوض يدرس خيارات الرد على تهديدات ترمب. فيما قال تلفزيون «برس تي في» الإيراني إن الوفد يدرس خيارات للرد على تهديدات الرئيس الأمريكي الأخيرة. وكان ترمب قال في وقت سابق اليوم إنه أبلغ الإيرانيين بأنه «إذا أغلقتم مضيق هرمز، فلن تكون لديكم دولة، ولن تتمكنوا حتى من العودة إليها».
من جهتها، نقلت وكالة فارس عن مصدر مطلع في فريق التفاوض الإيراني قوله: «إن الجولة الأولى من المفاوضات الرباعية في سويسرا انتهت»، مبيناً أن الجولة الأولى عقدت بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران بمشاركة الدولتين الوسيطتين قطر وباكستان.
من جهة أخرى، نقل التلفزيون الإيراني عن مصادر قولها إن اجتماع سويسرا ركز على تنفيذ المادة 13 من مذكرة التفاهم مع إعطاء أولوية لملف لبنان، مبيناً أنه لم تجر أي مفاوضات بشأن الملف النووي خلال الجولة الأولى من مفاوضات بورغنشتوك.
في المقابل، نقلت شبكة «سي إن إن» الأمريكية عن مصدر دبلوماسي أن المفاوضات الجارية في سويسرا تتناول الحرب في لبنان ومضيق هرمز ومخزون إيران النووي، موضحة أن الاجتماع الرباعي في سويسرا قد عُلّق بعد 80 دقيقة من المحادثات لإجراء مشاورات داخلية.
وأضافت أن اجتماعات سويسرا بدأت كحوار مفتوح يتسم بقدر كبير من الصراحة. وعقد الوفد الإيراني مناقشات مع الوفد القطري.
As the second session of the first day's negotiations began, Iranian media revealed today (Sunday) that the Iranian negotiating delegation submitted a protest to the mediators regarding the threats made by U.S. President Donald Trump. The Tasnim news agency reported that the Iranian negotiating delegation considers Trump's threats a violation of the terms of the memorandum of understanding, indicating that the delegation is studying options for responding to Trump's threats. Meanwhile, Iranian television "Press TV" stated that the delegation is considering options to respond to the recent threats from the U.S. president. Earlier today, Trump stated that he had informed the Iranians that "if you close the Strait of Hormuz, you will not have a country, and you will not even be able to return to it."
For its part, the Fars news agency quoted a source familiar with the Iranian negotiating team saying: "The first round of the quadrilateral negotiations in Switzerland has ended," indicating that the first round was held between the United States and Iran with the participation of the two mediating countries, Qatar and Pakistan.
On another note, Iranian television reported sources saying that the Switzerland meeting focused on implementing Article 13 of the memorandum of understanding, prioritizing the Lebanon file, noting that no negotiations took place regarding the nuclear file during the first round of the Burgentstock negotiations.
In contrast, the American network "CNN" quoted a diplomatic source stating that the ongoing negotiations in Switzerland address the war in Lebanon, the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran's nuclear stockpile, clarifying that the quadrilateral meeting in Switzerland was suspended after 80 minutes of talks for internal consultations.
It added that the Switzerland meetings began as an open dialogue characterized by a high degree of frankness. The Iranian delegation held discussions with the Qatari delegation.
