شهدت إحدى قاعات محكمة جنايات القاهرة، أمس (الثلاثاء)، لحظات مؤثرة بعدما انهارت الإعلامية السابقة وسيدة الأعمال سارة خليفة فور النطق بالقرار القضائي الصادر بحقها، وسط حالة من الانفعال الشديد.
وذكرت وسائل إعلام مصرية أن المحكمة قررت إحالة أوراق سارة خليفة وشقيقها و11 متهماً آخر إلى مفتي الجمهورية، لأخذ الرأي الشرعي بشأن الحكم بإعدامهم، في القضية المعروفة إعلامياً بـ«قضية المخدرات الكبرى».
وبحسب تقارير محلية، دخلت سارة خليفة في حالة عصبية وانهيار داخل قاعة المحكمة عقب سماع القرار، ورددت: «لن ألبس البدلة الحمراء»، في إشارة إلى زي المحكوم عليهم بالإعدام، وفق ما أورده موقع «القاهرة 24».
وفي المقابل، أعلن محاميها محمد حمودة اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية للطعن على القرار، مؤكداً التقدم باستئناف على الحكم وفق المسار القضائي.
وتواجه الإعلامية السابقة وعدد من المتهمين اتهامات بتأسيس تشكيل عصابي لتصنيع وترويج المواد المخدرة، إلى جانب اتهامات أخرى، من بينها هتك عرض أحد الأشخاص. ولا تزال القضية منظورة أمام القضاء.
وتُعد إحالة الأوراق إلى مفتي الجمهورية إجراءً قانونياً يسبق إصدار الحكم النهائي في قضايا الإعدام، ولا يُعد حكماً نهائياً بالإعدام.
One of the halls of the Cairo Criminal Court witnessed emotional moments yesterday (Tuesday) when former media personality and businesswoman Sara Khalifa collapsed immediately after the court's decision was announced, amid a state of intense emotion.
Egyptian media reported that the court decided to refer the papers of Sara Khalifa, her brother, and 11 other defendants to the Grand Mufti of the Republic to seek a legal opinion regarding the ruling of their execution, in the case known in the media as the "Major Drug Case."
According to local reports, Sara Khalifa went into a nervous breakdown and collapsed inside the courtroom after hearing the decision, repeating: "I will not wear the red suit," referring to the attire of those sentenced to death, as reported by the website "Cairo 24."
In response, her lawyer, Mohamed Hamouda, announced that legal actions would be taken to appeal the decision, confirming that an appeal would be submitted against the ruling through the judicial process.
The former media personality and several defendants face charges of establishing a criminal gang for the manufacture and promotion of narcotic substances, in addition to other charges, including the assault of an individual. The case is still pending before the judiciary.
Referring the papers to the Grand Mufti of the Republic is a legal procedure that precedes the issuance of the final ruling in execution cases and does not constitute a final death sentence.
