دانت وزارة الخارجية المصرية، اليوم (الإثنين)، بأقوى العبارات، الاقتحامات المتكررة والاستفزازية التي يقوم بها مستوطنون إسرائيليون للمسجد الأقصى المبارك تحت حماية الشرطة الإسرائيلية.
وقالت الخارجية المصرية في بيانها إن هذه الاقتحامات تمثل «انتهاكات متكررة تمس حرمة المقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية والوضع التاريخي والقانوني القائم في القدس المحتلة».
وأضافت الوزارة: «تعرب مصر عن إدانتها البالغة للاقتحامات المتكررة والاستفزازية التي نفذها مستوطنون إسرائيليون للمسجد الأقصى المبارك تحت حماية الشرطة الإسرائيلية، وما صاحبها من ممارسات مرفوضة وانتهاكات تمس بحرمة المقدسات الإسلامية والوضع التاريخي والقانوني القائم في القدس المحتلة».
كما أدانت مصر «التصعيد الإسرائيلي المتواصل في مدينة القدس والضفة الغربية المحتلة»، مشيرة إلى ما تشهده المنطقة من اقتحامات واعتداءات واعتقالات بحق الفلسطينيين، ومؤكدة أن هذه الممارسات «تمثل انتهاكاً صارخاً للقانون الدولي وقرارات الشرعية الدولية ذات الصلة».
وأكدت مصر أن هذه الممارسات التصعيدية من شأنها تأجيج التوتر وتقويض فرص تحقيق التهدئة والاستقرار في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، محذرة من خطورة المساس بالمقدسات الدينية أو محاولة فرض واقع جديد في القدس المحتلة.
وجددت مصر مطالبتها للمجتمع الدولي بالاضطلاع بمسؤولياته لوقف الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية المتواصلة، وضمان احترام الوضع التاريخي والقانوني القائم للمقدسات الإسلامية والمسيحية في القدس، بما يحقق تطلعات الشعب الفلسطيني في إقامة دولته المستقلة وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية، ويُعزز الأمن والاستقرار في المنطقة.
ويأتي هذا البيان المصري في ظل تصاعد التوترات في القدس والضفة الغربية خلال الفترة الأخيرة، خصوصاً مع استمرار اقتحامات المستوطنين للمسجد الأقصى، وتكرار الاشتباكات والاعتقالات.
وتحرص مصر على موقف ثابت يجمع بين إدانة الانتهاكات الإسرائيلية للمقدسات والحقوق الفلسطينية، وبين دعم التهدئة ووقف إطلاق النار، مع التأكيد على أهمية الحل السياسي القائم على حل الدولتين.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned today (Monday) the repeated and provocative incursions by Israeli settlers into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli police.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated in its announcement that these incursions represent "repeated violations that affect the sanctity of Islamic and Christian holy sites and the historical and legal status in occupied Jerusalem."
The ministry added: "Egypt expresses its profound condemnation of the repeated and provocative incursions carried out by Israeli settlers into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli police, along with the unacceptable practices and violations that affect the sanctity of Islamic holy sites and the historical and legal status in occupied Jerusalem."
Egypt also condemned "the ongoing Israeli escalation in the city of Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank," pointing to the incursions, assaults, and arrests against Palestinians in the region, and affirming that these practices "constitute a blatant violation of international law and relevant international legitimacy resolutions."
Egypt confirmed that these escalating practices are likely to exacerbate tensions and undermine opportunities for achieving calm and stability in the occupied Palestinian territories, warning of the dangers of infringing upon religious sanctities or attempting to impose a new reality in occupied Jerusalem.
Egypt renewed its call for the international community to fulfill its responsibilities to stop the ongoing Israeli violations and to ensure respect for the historical and legal status of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, in a manner that fulfills the aspirations of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, and enhances security and stability in the region.
This Egyptian statement comes amid rising tensions in Jerusalem and the West Bank in recent times, especially with the continued incursions by settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the recurrence of clashes and arrests.
Egypt is keen on a consistent position that combines condemnation of Israeli violations of holy sites and Palestinian rights, with support for calm and a ceasefire, while emphasizing the importance of a political solution based on the two-state solution.
