أكد رئيس الوزراء العراقي الجديد علي الزيدي أن المرحلة القادمة يجب أن تكون مرحلة شراكة حقيقية وتجاوز للخلافات.
وأفاد بأن البرنامج الحكومي يهدف إلى بناء اقتصاد وطني قوي ومتنوع ومستدام. وتعهّد بالعمل على تعزيز علاقات العراق العربية والإقليمية والدولية على أساس الاحترام المتبادل.
وقال الزيدي في كلمة خلال مراسم تسليمه منصبه اليوم (السبت): «إن مجلس النواب منح الثقة لحكومتنا في لحظة دقيقة من تاريخ العراق، ما يتطلب منا العمل الجاد من أجل حاضر العراقيين ومستقبلهم».
ووجه الشكر إلى قادة «الإطار التنسيقي» والقوى السياسية لإنجاح مسار تشكيل الحكومة، لافتاً إلى أن المرحلة القادمة يجب أن تكون مرحلة شراكة حقيقية وتجاوز للخلافات.
وأكد رئيس الوزراء أن حكومته تضع في أولوياتها إطلاق برنامج إصلاحي واقتصادي ومالي شامل، مضيفاً أن هذا البرنامج «يهدف إلى بناء اقتصاد وطني قوي ومتنوع ومستدام، وسنعمل على اقتصاد لا يعتمد على مورد واحد بل يقوم على تنشيط القطاعات الأخرى».
وقال الزيدي: «سنعمل على حماية المال العام ومحاربة الفساد بكل أشكاله»، مؤكداً أن «الفساد لم يعد مجرد خلل إداري بل أصبح عائقاً أمام التنمية وتأخير مسيرة الدولة».
وأضاف أن حكومته ستضع مشاريع استراتيجية في جميع المجالات الخدمية والبنى التحتية، وستكون الحكومة دولة المؤسسات والقانون، وتستمع لصوت المواطن، «وسنعمل على ترسيخ الأمن والاستقرار وحماية سيادة العراق».
وذكر المكتب الإعلامي للحكومة، في بيان صحفي، أنه جرت في القصر الحكومي بالعاصمة بغداد اليوم مراسم استلام الزيدي مهامه رسمياً، رئيساً للحكومة وقائداً عاماً للقوات المسلحة، بحضور رئيس مجلس الوزراء السابق محمد شياع السوداني.
وأدى الزيدي ووزراء حكومته اليمين الدستورية أمس الأول (الخميس)، بعد أن منح البرلمان الثقة لحكومته بالأغلبية المطلقة.
The new Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaydi confirmed that the upcoming phase must be one of genuine partnership and overcoming differences.
He stated that the government program aims to build a strong, diverse, and sustainable national economy. He pledged to work on enhancing Iraq's Arab, regional, and international relations based on mutual respect.
Al-Zaydi said in a speech during the ceremony of his assuming office today (Saturday): "The House of Representatives granted confidence to our government at a critical moment in Iraq's history, which requires us to work diligently for the present and future of the Iraqis."
He expressed gratitude to the leaders of the "Coordination Framework" and political forces for successfully forming the government, noting that the upcoming phase should be one of genuine partnership and overcoming differences.
The Prime Minister affirmed that his government prioritizes launching a comprehensive reform, economic, and financial program, adding that this program "aims to build a strong, diverse, and sustainable national economy, and we will work towards an economy that does not rely on a single resource but rather activates other sectors."
Al-Zaydi stated: "We will work to protect public funds and combat corruption in all its forms," emphasizing that "corruption is no longer just an administrative flaw but has become an obstacle to development and a delay in the state's progress."
He added that his government will implement strategic projects in all service and infrastructure sectors, and the government will be a state of institutions and law, listening to the voice of the citizen, "and we will work to establish security and stability and protect Iraq's sovereignty."
The government’s media office stated in a press release that the ceremony for Al-Zaydi officially assuming his duties as Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces took place today at the government palace in the capital, Baghdad, in the presence of former Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' Al-Sudani.
Al-Zaydi and his ministers took the constitutional oath the day before yesterday (Thursday), after the parliament granted confidence to his government by an absolute majority.
