أعربت الأمانة العامة لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، اليوم (الخميس) عن ترحيبها بإعلان وقف إطلاق النار بين الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وإيران.
وأشادت الأمانة العامة لمجلس التعاون في بيان بالجهود الكبيرة التي بذلتها باكستان في هذا الاتجاه، بالإضافة إلى الأطراف الإقليمية والدولية الأخرى الداعية لوقف الصراع الدائر، مؤكدة على أهمية تضافر الجهود الإقليمية والدولية من أجل التوصل إلى حل دائم لإنهاء هذه الأزمة، بما يضمن الأمن والاستقرار بالمنطقة والعالم.
وفي سياق متصل، عبّرت وزارة الخارجية الصينية، اليوم، عن أملها في أن «تتمكن الأطراف المعنية من اغتنام هذه الفرصة لتحقيق السلام وإعادة الاستقرار للمنطقة في أسرع وقت ممكن»، بعد اتفاق الولايات المتحدة وإيران على وقف إطلاق النار في الحرب التي استمرت أسابيع.
وقالت المتحدثة باسم وزارة الخارجية الصينية ماو نينيج، خلال إفادة صحفية، إن الصين أبقت على تواصل مع جميع الأطراف، وإنها سعت جاهدة لتحقيق المصالحة ووقف القتال.
وأضافت أن بكين تريد من الأطراف أن تغتنم فرصة السلام، وأن «تحل الخلافات عبر الحوار والتشاور وتعمل على إعادة السلام والاستقرار في منطقة الخليج والشرق الأوسط في أسرع وقت ممكن».
من جهة أخرى، قالت مسؤولة السياسة الخارجية في الاتحاد الأوروبي كايا كالاس، إن «نطاق هدنة إيران يجب أن يتسع ليشمل لبنان أيضاً»، مشددة على أن الإجراءات المفرطة التي اتخذتها إسرائيل لا تندرج ضمن الدفاع عن النفس.
وأضافت كالاس، في تصريحات صحفية أن «حق إسرائيل في الدفاع عن نفسها لا يبرر هذا الدمار الهائل في لبنان»، مشددة على ضرورة نزع حزب الله لسلاحه.

In a related context, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed today its hope that "the parties involved can seize this opportunity to achieve peace and restore stability to the region as soon as possible," following the agreement between the United States and Iran on a ceasefire in the weeks-long war.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said during a press briefing that China has maintained communication with all parties and has worked hard to achieve reconciliation and halt the fighting.
She added that Beijing wants the parties to seize the opportunity for peace and "resolve differences through dialogue and consultation and work to restore peace and stability in the Gulf and the Middle East as soon as possible."
On another note, EU foreign policy chief Kaia Kallas stated that "the scope of the ceasefire in Iran should also extend to Lebanon," stressing that the excessive measures taken by Israel do not fall under self-defense.
Kallas added in press statements that "Israel's right to defend itself does not justify this massive destruction in Lebanon," emphasizing the necessity for Hezbollah to disarm.
